Was a horrendous tackle to be fair and the ref had a shocker to not even issue a card.

It was bad. Not sure with malice but a slightly out of control tackle wrecked a players season, but it was judged what it was by the ref so you get on with it. Corberan is wrong to mention it though, especially so many months later. Bang out of order and malicious.’ A manager singling out a young player like that needs sorting to me. If I was Dodds I’d have told him to have a look at that second yellow from his own player and ask if the coach was partially responsible for firing him up.

I noticed that, it was right at the point in the song where it goes "he hates Newcastle" too (at least where I was sitting, which was right in front of where he was stood)

Aye. Sounds like Sour grapes on his behalf but like you say the 2nd y.c. imo should have been a straight red. Was proud of how Ballard didn't react to a few naughty challenges on him. Had his moment in the end.

Terrible that second tackle and he’s focusing on something from October

Yes but the coach has done his job, everyone's talking about Dan Ballard rather than the tackle and sending off of his own player.
Or perhaps I'm giving too much credit

This is why WBA lost yesterday and why they won't get promoted. Too busy focusing on an incident that happened MONTHS ago instead of trying to win which would've secured their playoff spot. Their fans were more interested in booing than supporting, Thomas-Asante got sent off trying to injure Ballard and their so called captain Jed Wallace came on with the intent to injure Ballard. Maybe concentrate on your own ****e performance and you'd maybe be a better team.

For such an experienced squad they acted incredibly immaturely.

Correct. The manager’s ****ed up hugely by getting them into that headspace rather than trying to win the game.

    cheers again RTB...

another decent performance and clean sheet, wonder if that was dodds remit for the rest of the season rather than 'going for glory'...get them organised defending then sort the attack out for next season.

styles/clarke and rigg/pembele are looking like useful partnerships.

strange to not get excited over games now, not used to that with sunderland as we always seem to be fighting at one end or the other at this time of the year...hopefully a couple of early signs of next season.

giving my MotM to ballard, took early stick from the fans and took stick from the players and showed just how mature he is, stood up and did his job very well.

    Brilliant cheers mate.
If they are the highlights of WBA then looks like they were limited to a few shots from outside the box.
5 clean sheets in six I think makes the Blackburn result even more crazy

Bet that wouldn't have happened with the 3 at the back setup. We'd probably have sneaked a 1-0.
