You been sniffing down the pants isle again in Morrisons fosse ? Anyway, does Iran have the right to defend itself and its embassies ?
You say that, but imagine you're one of the poor sods on a long haul flight back from Australia or Malaysia and the captain comes on and says, "Sorry everyone but we have to take a detour over the Dombass and Ukraine"
Have to admit, I personally found it disgusting how the West just seemed to gloss over the destruction of the Iranian consulate in Syria ... and then came up with "Iran better not retaliate or we'll all gang up on 'em" ... can you imagine the reaction if it had been one of our consulates, anywhere in the world, or a yank one? ... appears that brown lives, especially arab lives, aren't as sacrosanct... reprehensible ... and tells you all you need to know about western leaders.
Yup If a US or UK embassy had been hit, it would be an immediate **** storm Hence my question, does Iran have the right to defend itself ?
There were civilians in the consulate also. We've acknowledged the case that diplomatic premises are now regarded as legitimate targets. Even though it's a violation of international treaties and the principle of diplomatic immunity. If the rules of engagement no longer matter to us and consulates are legitimate targets and you're working in one of countless around the world, I wonder how you're feeling right now.
i was staggered by how little was made of one state attacking a foreign consulate in a third country . The implications for future behaviour is frankly disturbing .
