Conte was meant to be a ready-made trophy winner and played dross football. Postecoglou isn’t perfect but you can see what he’s trying to build. He also doesn’t have Kane while Conte had him in his prime. I don’t have much love for Spurs but players like the goalkeeper, Porro and Van der Ven are good enough and will get better. There’s not a top quality striker, I’m not sure Maddison will do it consistently on the level of a De Bruyne or even Odegaard and the central midfield isn’t good enough but he deserves another full season to build on what’s been a 7.5/10 first year. Might all turn to **** but at least it’s **** trying not to be **** whereas Conte was just pure **** not even pretending not to be ****.
