Other results have gone pretty well though. Only Cardiff have really done anything. Days like these are why you need a good lead at the top.
ah well. its the Championship anyone can beat anyone, it happens time to focus on Tuesday and try to build another unbeaten run
FT. Crap performance, hopefully that's the blip out of the way and back to winning ways on Tuesday. And hoping Derby can get a result against West Ham later.
Bad day at the office, not sure anyone really played too well. We learn from this and build for Tuesday, which is not too far away.
Failure to score a goal is more annoying that the defeat. I said before ko that I wouldn't have been surprised if we'd lost, but to create so very little and not put the ball in the net is very annoying. Hull and Doncaster over the next 7 days. Every chance that we'll bounce back with 6 points.
Nige got it wrong today but in nige I trust so no whinging please. Everyone has an off day SO LETS PUT THIS GAME BEHIND US and look forward to winning the next. COYR
This - a loss isn't unexpected but not scoring is. Sounds like a roll over and take the defeat performance which is a pain in the arse. Need to bounce back.
.................................. too lazy too day, we probably needed a kick up the arse after some very easy games, but still top of the league
Anyone know what happened to Chaplow today? Adkins' strategy for the match must have prominently featured Chaplow, so to see him go off at 7 minutes indicates those plans are likely to have been negatively effected. Also thought Guly was useless today. Not holding the ball up. We had to lose at some point and now could be a good time. We've got Hull, who lost to Burnley today, at home next game. Then Doncaster. Bring them on!
If Chaplow isn't available for Tuesday (when the City fans all come on here, it is going to be annoying that they wont have appreciated what he brings to us, and hence what we lost), then I'd revert back to our early season side with Guly back out wide, and Connolly (or Barnard, if Connolly is still not fit himself) up front.
The worst that can happen now is that we'll "only" be 2 points clear at the end of today. Still have 39 points from 18 matches, still on promotion form. COYR!
It gets my goat when I here the opposition manger saying their side didn't play well when it was us who stopped them playing. We didn't play well as Bristol City, not only have been playing really well of late, stopped us playing today. They deserved the victory and we shouldn't try and find excuses! You have to say we were unlucky against Leicester and Cardiff (but very lucky against Reading). Today we were beaten fair and square, probably the first game that we can say so. Very disappointing is not scoring.
Looks like a very good win for City, i think it was expected from a lot of City fans, but for me, i would have been happy with a draw. Solako was on Soccer Saturday saying that we dominated the game, but the stats shows the Saints had 55% possession? Fingers crossed this a temp blip for the Saints and they continue to do well in our league! Its never a good time to play a team that have just employed a new manager, unless you play Leicester who seem to replace their manager all the time! I had a 3-0 bet on City winning today aswell, think the odds were 36-1 Good luck for the rest of the season, not that you will need it.
