If we can keep going with commitment levels finishing 11th needs to be the target. Might sound daft but 11th doesnt half sound better than 13th or 14th.

The way agents look at clubs, and then players, can be quite rudimentary. Particularly when convincing them to come and have a look round. Once they are here for a visit we have a lot going for us. A club having had a good finish to the seasom, not a drab one, will go someway to getting players here for a look round. Sounds barmy, but it is the way of things.

I think these last few games have cemented Rigg signing in June. It looked on before but I’m not worried at all now.

Not barmy at all, makes total sense for me.

Any possible new signings seeing how the support and players were, at the end today, would be impressed.

Also, while I'm on, how courageous is Dodds to have come through after the initial post-Beale games.

Seriously, the bloke must have nerves of steel.

Yeah Rigg was much better today. More efficient with the ball. Not as wasteful.

I thought there must be more to him than the shambles of his first few games. Depending on what happens in the next three games he might well be considered for the job next year. He seems to have worked out how to get the players playing for him.
I’m not sure if he’s ready yet but he might deserve his chance. Depending on what we see in the next three games.

I have grown to like him. Taken some time, but the last two games have seen formations Ancelloti would be proud of.

I can see him 3 years from now taking us full time. I still think experience of all sorts needed. His awareness of stopping a run and how to do it has really impressed though. I would say coaching to achieve clean sheets is far simpler than coaching to score goals, but you cant have one without the other.

Mowbray grew to think the world of him as a.coach. for me that is a good sign. Still or whoever can bring in their own men, but if they are bright they will relish having Dodds on board. Generally speaking coaches know each other through their badges and communities they create. It is a tight community. When I did my b licence it was with lads from Sheff Wed, Derby, Leicester etc. Some sit on first team benches. Our whatsapp group is still active and busy. Coaches get to know each other and gravitate to those who see the game the same as them.

Dodds is ok by me. If he is with us in 5 years I would bet we are a prem club.

Absolutely no offence to Kevin Ball but he clung on here for years ...

... no idea what his coaching was like but I'd bet it wasn't too complicated <laugh>

We simply can't afford to be throwing away good professional coaches, they really don't grow on trees.

Look how many great players, from the top clubs, fail miserably in coaching or management.

Great result, buzzing with that, totally unexpected in my negative views HTL

Mind WBA imo had a bit of an off day but wtf

Entertainment value was near zero, but it was a win, a clean sheet, thats all that matters taking into account our recent poor run

I thought today was a very professional performance. The onus was on them to get the win so we could sit back to an extent and make them work for it. Most of the first half it was all them in possession. When you see Bellingham defending on the edge of our box it obviously reflects the need for someone who stays up there and causes them a big threat but we all know the history to that one. What a goal from Ekwah and with their lad getting sent off for stupid fouls this changed the dynamics for the second half. Yes they were going to huff and puff but I felt we looked comfortable. The commentator here was amazed at our support and it was truly magnificent. So good day today for our young lads. Pleased for Dodd's again because that job isn't easy. I hope Clarke doesn't go mainly because this time next year we want to be knocking on the door to go up. If that happens then I want him to be a part of that....I also understand all the reasons if he does move on. If the club gets an offer they can't refuse.....then you can't refuse but that should be the only type of offer we should accept....HTL!!!!
