Indeed. Really make use of the Mercedes car known straight line speed here and clearly getting the job done in the twisty bits too.

Lets see if he can take it into Q3.

That is stunning from Vettel, deserves the record. Seeing as Button supposedly isn't happy on the soft tyres, thats a superb lap to outqualify Hamilton.

Amazing stuff from Senna, 7/10th quicker than Petrov. Brilliant stuff.

EDIT: Vettel's record does not really mean anything because there are more races in the season. % would be much more valid.

That red bull ain't half fast, especially in vettels hands. At least the mclarens could stay ahead of the ferrari.

Odd that everyone outside of the top 3 teams was slower in q3.

You have to remember Mansell's car in 92 was much more dominant than Vettel's Red Bull.

With respect, Webber has exactly the same car as Vettel, so how can his quali performance be impressive. Whilst others may differ in opinion, I still think the Red Bull is quicker than the Mclaren, so beating the Mclarens is exactly what Webber should be doing.

I would love some rain and Vettel to slide into the wall and leave Mark Jenson and Lewis to fight for the win tomorrow.

If it rains we're in for a cracker, I fancy picking a name from a hat with the top 5 in. If its dry I expect JB to fly past Mark and Alonso past Lewis on Lap 1. Great record from Seb but could've easily had a full house thinking about the 4 that got away in Spain, UK, Germany and Korea.

Nigels car was far more dominent than what Seb has had this year as Patrese was picking up all the 2nds while Webber is average 3rd-4th on race day. Yeah Seb had more races but Nigels gap was over double, maybe even triple to what Seb had this year against the likes of Senna and Schumacher...

Look stop going on about this pole ****. He's got the best car, he a great driver but does anyone say oh look he got 150 poles and 1 win, but that makes him a legend... No. Vettel has done well but I only care about GP Wins and World Championships.

Vettel has had a great car, by far the quickest, and a terrible teammate (this year) of course the poles racked up. I will admit however than Vettel edging it in the one or two races it was close has been the difference so he deserves the record.
