Feel for any Aldershot fans who made the long trip North for this game only to see the game called off late on .
You’d like to think so . Couple of dodgy decisions in the Swansea v Stoke game too but not as obvious.
Semi-automated offside technology to be introduced in the EPL next season. Whatever the hell that is... With VAR retained as a backup.
Means they don't have to drawn all the lines as a computer does it all much quicker. Used at major tournaments and in Europe but not here until now.
We have Hawkeye in Tennis and the Umpire is just there to oversee the game and clamp down on bad sportsmanship Would not be too difficult to have the same technology in football and there would be no arguing about wether the ball had gone out play or wether a foul was in the penalty area, the officials would make the calls and if the opposition objected it would take a few seconds to put on the big screens also would make the VAR numpties drawing lines TOTALLY redundant and the referee would actually REFEREE the game
I doubt many of us would have predicted that result. Is it going to be the start of a nervy run in for the teams at the top?
Have Leicester been affected by the off field issues too? They have tough games to come too v Southampton, WBA and Preston .
