The team is not playing "Ange-ball" . That should be obvious to see. The opposition of late are saying they know how it works and won't play that game, so what is your plan B. The answer from the manager + team : we have none.
4-0. Schar. Another free header from a corner. It's been going on for months and everyone's looking at Vicario. Nothing to do with him.
That's not the point. I wouldn't disagree about his abilities, but he still deserves more of a run out in these circumstances.
And the goal conceded from a corner finally comes. Stellini was sacked the day after the performance last season, I’m not saying Ange should be but big questions need to be asked and he needs to drastically rethink his approach as this is unacceptable
Absolute shambles. Granted, Newcastle can give anyone a game, but this is shambolic. Almost like there’s no consideration for the goal difference which means so much at this stage of the season.
I hope Postecoglou holds his hands up and accepts responsibility after this mess. Playing without a striker doesn't work, picking unfit midfielders doesn't work and our set-pieces are ****. Utterly embarrassing performance against the kid killers.
That’s been my worry all along. Easy to work out the approach and if the players aren’t 100% perfect then it leaves Spurs in trouble.
Ask yourself the following : If you are a Spurs player in that starting XI today, and the result finishes 4-0, what are the consequences to you personally ?? If the answer is : zero to meh, then why should results akin to the Fulham game not continue ??
To be fair that game last season was possibly the worst I'd seen for years from a Tottenham team. I agree though that this is a massive test for the manager. Be an interesting interview afterwards I suspect.
I hope he rips into them. ****ing disgraceful performance and not a single player has come out of it with any credit
