2-0 HT. Another awful first half. Lots of possession without creating much. Really sloppy defending, too. Son isn't a striker. It weakens him and the team when he plays there.
Yeah Son has struggled to hold the ball up as the defender is clearly stronger than him. Problem is there’s no alternative. That’s on the club for selling Kane and not bothering with a replacement and only have one recognised striker in Richarlison
I hope the away fans travelled up last night and had a night out. If they’ve left stupidly early this morning to watch that 45 mins of football then they have my deepest sympathies. It’s rare for the whole team to be terrible. Usually someone comes out of it with a bit of respect… not this one.
Whatever the end result is today, that is another 1st half thrown away by a manager not learning from his mistakes + a team with no fear of consequences for a repeat of the Fulham performance.
I think Van der Ven is undone both times by good forward play. Isaak and Gordon do him with good control and movement.
Sarr, Hojbjerg and Lo Celso on for 2nd half please. Even if it doesn't improve things, Bissouma, Bentancur and Maddison don't deserve to stay on.
Scarlett's had a few appearances for a combined 10 minutes or so, which just emphasises it. Wasting his time and ours. We need to sign a proper lone striker in the summer or two if Richarlison goes.
Really, really bad. Even in the first 30mins we were giving the ball away way too much in midfield and we’ve utterly failed to get a grip on a game again. Yet another game where we have to do something drastic at half time. Can’t stand our kit either. Feel like it’s hurting my eyes.
No mention of it at the break. Just having his foot that high is an obvious free-kick. I suspect it'll disappear from all coverage, though.
It's ****, but wearing it against a side where it looks like a blend of their colours is particularly stupid. Probably not helping them to shift the stock that nobody ****ing wants!
