Isn’t this equally true of us on this board? Because we lean left and respond to this weak attack on a Labour MP by clarifying how weak it is we all get accused of being knee-jerk socialists!

There is a definite bias in here towards Labour. But then there is also a bias towards driving on the left, eating non-poisonous foods and not jumping off cliffs. Sometimes a bias just reflects what is obviously better for us as individuals and society.

Exactly that. No matter how hard I try I can't like anyone who supports Pompey.

I actually get on with someone who supports Pompey, we have healthy banter, no malice at all.
I just feel sorry for the fact he has 6 fingers on each hand <laugh>

There are going to be politicians that behave and misbehave from all parties, but the current batch of high profile Tories have really set the bar low

And their attempts to deny when found out have often been appalling and dishonest

If there were similar levels in the Labour Party then the Mail and Express would be shouting about it

This Rayner issue is on such a small scale and her response reasonable

I assume we’ll find out more soon because they’ll have to clear this up

Then we can decide if it was real or mud-raking

Not wishing to deflect from Angela Raynor's alleged heinous crime but the moaning Mone has gone under the radar of late, when it comes to barefaced lies and criminal activity she and dodgy Doug take the biscuit.
"On 26 January 2024, assets controlled by Mone and her husband were frozen under a court order obtained by the Crown Prosecution Service.[77][78][79] The Financial Times reported that restrictions had been placed over £75m worth of assets, including a townhouse in Belgravia, properties in Glasgow, an estate on the Isle of Man and numerous bank accounts.[80]"

And some people on this thread still don't understand why most of us are anti Tory.

Not just on here the tories are loathed nationwide. Anyone with scruples in what was the tory party have been ostracised, what's left is reform lite.

I think everyone understands, and the vast majority agree (as will be evidenced when they're eviscerated at the election).

I wouldn't sit down to "supper" with anyone. It's a pretentious term used by the bourgeoisie to sound superior to the oiks who started using dinner instead of tea.
Having said, that I do get the impression Rayner's table manners would be a bit suspect. Would she know what a fish knife is? She's a bit council estate wouldn't you say?

Might know what a fish wife is.

Tea., dinner or supper? Not just a class thing also part of the north/south or over the border divide.

I would not be so sure about that. Let's hope the SNP vote holds up in.Scotland. Why would a Scot vote for a Westminster party in the first place? And for all.his strengths, Kier Starmer does not have the charisma of Tony Blair, although he might have better policies.

People aren’t going to vote for Starmer because he’s any good. They’ll be voting for a change (rightly) from this current mob.

We might as well vote Reform if all we want is a change? (tongue in cheek). Seriously, though, a sizeable % of Tory voters may well stay at home or vote for minority parties in many redwall seats thus enabling Labour to recapture them. Seats like Southampton Itchen will need to be flipped for Labour to get a decent majority. IMO.the projected Labour majority won't be anything like it was in.1997! What would be political fun, would be Labour getting around 310, which is 100.more than in 2019! Would they seek an alliance with the Greens, SNP, Plaid, SDLP, Lib Dems or go it alone??
