Feels like yesterday I was watching that team. Only one of them I can't name. Who is it between Dichio and Gavin McCann in thw back row?

I reckon it's Andy Marriott, though he looks young in that picture so either I'm wrong or he has been on the moisturiser.

They only named three subs back then so keepers usually didn't get a spot on the bench under Reidy, but we did bring them on the team bus incase of an emergency.

Gregg Shannon and Chris Porter didn't look like that and Luke Weaver was blond. Marriott sort of looks like that, but was a bit older than the person in that picture, so that's my deduction, Marriott on the moisturiser.

    Andy Marriott

Metro FM (Not Radio and soon to be not Metro anymore on Wednesday) Played this at full time with an audio package of clips of goals and moments throughout the seaon, G-Force on Coms. Guy Mowbrays last season with Metro and us. I don't think it's really appreciated outside the Sunderland area what we managed that season. The seaon straight after the greatest ever play off final in Wembley history. One loss at home all season to Barnsley and twice away. What a ****in team that was. Class memories.

I think there was a phoenix club set up before the original club were officially wound up, but possibly after they were ejected from the league. The phoenix club entered the North West Counties League. The original club still existed as a legal entity and they then merged with the phoenix club to form the current club.

Thought it was longer to be honest.
    Best days them mind.
I remember Peter Reid getting the job and a Man united supporter saying we'd do well under him. I said "yeah I've a good feeling about it".

I remember the Barnsley game at home being a bit mental, like a basketball game.

    Season was wild.
