Theres things to criticise liam for But not having an under 21 player in the bench is not one of them
All our decent 23's are either out on loan, or were trying to get out on loan ASAP. Cos since they abolished the reserve league, 23's has become a schoolboy league.
Olly Green couldn't get a game for York in the end. Got sent back. What's Sincere Hall done in mens football exactly?
James Furlong (who was presumably a Rosie signing) where is he? He isn't injured from what I can gather, he played 75 mins against curacao and 81 mins for the kids last week. Why not put him on the bench? The subs tonight again were baffling. Rosie just seems to wait until we're desperate and panics and chucks a few attacking players on. Thought it was a good game to bring Doc on, he's got a decent engine and can get around the pitch and bring some energy, and/or bring on Traore for a bit of quality after Carvalho looked spent. The subs have been weird all season...
Rosie said Jacob felt his calf in the warmup. Enjoyed tonight, much better tempo, attacking football, good atmosphere (because of the attacking football and quick tempo…shock), shame about the final result. Allsopp should be fired to the moon and never ever our number 1 goalie. I absolutely f*cking LOVE Oműr, what a player. He’ll go for big money one day (shame 50% of it goes to his old club but let’s enjoy him whilst he’s here).
He came back because he was dropped. Mate, if you want to think he was a success at York, you need to explain why he isn't still playing for them in a conference relegation battle, and also why no one else of that level picked him up before their window closed last month As we definitely don't want our prospects playing in the 23's.
Not really, it's just where we are. The lads on the bench were a noticeable drop off from what was on the pitch. We've got decent numbers but we lack good depth that can make a difference and that's been the story of the season.
Looks like they were he was sent back because he had a chest infection but he's had a some decent comments for their fans when looking on the post saying he's left. https://www.yorkpress.co.uk/sport/y...ardley-explains-york-citys-loanee-departures/ It's easy to be critical of young players loan spells but Matty Jacob was in and out at Gateshead too
Wrong again. He wasn’t dropped he was injured at the end so they didn’t extend then the injury was worse then expected. His York loan ended back end of October and he didn’t play another game until March. Stop talking ****e you know nowt about. Ta x
KLP couldn’t get in at Bradford Park Avenue , and so on… Greaves didn’t start for Cheltenham in the play offs. Means Jack ****e what’s going on at a loan club. Pretty much all of our loaned out players have been disasters bar Jarvis, Wood (Shelbourne) and TLT. Nixon was doing well at Donny too but injured and then the other right back hit form.
Having watched York more than you have this season id suggest it's you talking ****e. Started decent, took a couple of kicks, faded. That's how it went. He was fit enough for him to be available to any 5th or 6th tier xlub before the non league window shut a couple weeks ago. His name was circulated. He was declined, now you're saying he should be in our first team FFS. Cite KLP at BPA all you like. Obviously all our kids are KLPs. *Spoiler alert* they're not.
Yet when you listen to actual pros, very few of them ever take the pitch 100% fit. Let alone those with significant knocks or coming back from a long time out.
It's not like it's just our loans either, across-the-board loans for young players tend to fail. They need time and it's just not something you get. It's a miracle that Grimsby kept playing Cartwright for so long, and he should be staying there for next season at least.
I said he should be on the bench. Which BTW he has been once this season. I guess Rosenior is an idiot for doing that then?
Few Grimsby pals, he was the bright spot in the defence. Their centre backs are terrible for the level, full backs not much better defensively.
