I wonder if potential owners of the Benz 1 complained because it didn't make the clip-clop sounds of horseshoes on the cobbles ; I get the sports car differences but for the majority of cars in the UK, no one claims to miss hearing the sound of their 1.5 dci Nissan Qashqai.
They're not hard to find, there's plenty for sale here, but they're very expensive for a fairly poorly built car.
I've been so tempted by the hypermotard, I had a 749s and absolutely loved it.... My fav was my CBR1000 track bike though that I bought direct from a BSB team, now that was quick haha
If that's the old LD we had one of those for grass tracking - looking at the prices they make its another thing I wish i still had!
I dont know about scissor doors but a friend of mine had a sports car with doors that opened upwards combined with the body being very low down it meant you had to crawl out of the car the difference between that and our SUV is incredible. I can just step out normally.
half a litre between each beer I was thinking about the sizes of UK glasses rather than the continent a pint is over half a litre so I quickly said a litre but I now realise it was half a litre I realise you talk absolute nonsense given you say somebody is talking absolute bollocks and then you complain about somebody else being rude this shows your complete lack of judgement you are right when you say you have no idea
About 25 years ago I was on a team of 5 playing in a pub quiz league with 11 pub teams involved. The question setting for each week was rotated so that 1 team set the questions for the 5 1 vs 1 match fixtures for the other teams in the 5 pub locations, the "resting team's" 5 members were taxed with being Q.M's that week for the questions they had compiled. I forget how many rounds per game there were, but they were fixed topics, e.g. rounds on history, current events, sport, science,culture/arts et al, with the last round always being music/audio clips. One week the music round was "Identify the make of vehicle from the sound emitted from their exhaust system". A bonus point given if the model number was identified additionally. The question setting team were all bonkers we concluded ! Bloody amazing that, if I recall correctly, 4 or 5 makes and models were identified correctly out of the 10 questions asked. Everyone was fooled by Q # 10, the sound of a motor bike when all were expecting a car exhaust noise. That question was mine ! It sounded like my own vehicle, a 1970 Chevvy Monte Carlo, which had a hole in the muffler at the time of asking. Turned out it was a 50's or 60's Harley or Indian Chief sound . YAWN you might say.
Anyone old enough to have been around in the mid 1960s will remember the coolest kids rode Vespas. Which is why sting was on one in Quadrophenia,
