...its Ruben Rochina we want to be signing from Blackburn in Jan.

He's been an absolute beast today, scored a pearler of a goal, and was at the heart of everything Rovers did. He can play as a winger, striker, or in the HBA role. And he wouldn't be as expensive as Hoilett would.

    Thoughts?

He is good, but I would want both - the only stars in B'Burns team

I'd imagine he'd be a bit more than that...

Probs 3-7mill, so much less than Hoilett, who'd probs be about 10-12.

He went through Barcelona's youth setup so you know he is going to be fairly decent. Just not as highly regarded as Messi or Alcantra lol

Nahh Hoilett is better, and more of the kind of player we need.

Hoillet is in the last year of his contact so I think he could be bought quite cheap. £7/8 million maybe. That is unless other clubs come in and spark a bidding war.

In what way, they play in exactly the same positions, just Rochina is more comfortable on the right, and Hoilett on the left. We have a top LM, but a suspect RM. Rochina would cost less, have lower wage demands, and won't be tracked by bigger clubs.

Actually you're wrong there. Hoilett is a natural RW who can play on the left or as a out-and-out striker. <ok>

Rochina/Formica/Hoilett all look good technical young players.. I'll take Hoilett the most though!

Can't say I'm an expert but Rochina looks a more technical player whereas Hoilett's game is all about pace and skill.

Based on form over the entire season so far it has to be Hoilett.

I've always rated Rochina like, not because of Fifa or Footy Manager either ha.. Always thought he was a talent like and was very surprised when he went to blackburn because I could see him breaking into the Barca first team set up sooner or later. Went there cheap as well didnt he.. either Barca know something we dont or they will have another Fabregas/Pique situation.

When Blackburn get relegated they'll both be desperate to leave.

Depending on how recently they sold him they probably have a buyback clause.
