    Pretty good that.

Their best chance came from the only time Hume dove in on Summerville, if he just stands him up he's absolutely fine.

Pembele looks good, want him to stretch his legs in attack more though, has serious pace.

    Ballard really poor though.

Its not about having a decent 9, just think what he would be like with a quality cm alongside him

Hes the best cm in the league imo, dewsbury-hall is quality but hes more of a 10 now

I think Ballard has rattled bamford like lashing at chances that he’d normally put away.

I'm starting to think this formation works for us, the players seem to have an affinity for it and everyone knows their role. CF up front who the ball sticks to and it could be the way forward potentially. Can be tweaked to be more attacking when required.

This is decent lads. We need to be patient on this thread.

There have been passages of play from us which have threatened. Patto rately bothered.

If there has been a better defensive midfield show than Neil this year I have not seem it. He is a holding player!!!!

Rigg has been ridiculous at times and too quick to play long at times. Humes has had summerville tucked up, apart from his one dive in. Ballard needs to wind his neck in and let him have the first ball. Styles is quality in my opinion. He sees every threat and plays when there isnt one. Clarke is growing into it. Pembele has done some good and bad, but is growing.

Dodds well done lad. That was elite coaching. We rotated through a flat 5, a flat 4, wing backs and even a 3142 at one point it. It was class and their back line and midfield were at sea.

I hope it's along the lines of "So Dan how much do you want paying a week?"

Really good first half Sunderland, not much to play for for us really and we’re giving our all.

Actually think there’s openings for us to hurt them but the forwards just haven’t been at it enough to take advantage. I’d say we’re relatively comfortable which is pleasing to say considering the opposition

It's both. I like how he tries to play forward and split the lines. A good 9 makes Neil look better. A monster CM alongside obviously too.

Is it worth sticking O9 onto Bamford and moving Ballard away from him. I can see a sending off unfortunately.

Having said that more than happy and better than I expected.

Minor gripe do the players not look at my predictor <laugh>.

Can see it now, a quality CDM lets Neil play further forward and those quick one twos off a good no.9. If it wasn’t for clarkes ridiculous season, neil would be my player of the season and pretty comfortably

Funny how they all say nobody saw it at full speed, the only speed the ref has, yet they think it should be. Not like he stuck his arm out and saved it man!

This is a really interesting game.

Patterson has had nothing to do and we'd be doing better if our front three would calm down on the ball.

Considering the age of these lads you have to excuse the odd poor bit of control or wayward crossfield pass.

O'Nien has been superb, Neil is much better than Saturday and Styles is having his best game so far ...

... it'll be interesting to see what subs Dodds brings on if it's 0-0 at 70 minutes.

    Haway the Lads!!!

That's it for me. I would never ever play him holding. Wasted. Too good on the turn and on the ball. Not to mention his whips through the lines. Needs a beast next to him and get him 10 yards higher.

A hard working first half from the lads and we've had the better chances so far.

A tough second half to come, as Leeds have been a bit lethargic so are likely to be getting a right bollocking from their gaffer.

I think they'll come flying out of the traps, so DB needs to be careful.
