A club has so many other expenses than just wages though, so in that situation 99% of clubs will make a loss and you can't relegate 99% of the league.

If the issue is that players are paid too much then letting them max out wages on their PL tv income is a bit much.

Off to support Gateshead Vs Aldershot tonight in their march towards the football league.

Finally, a Geordie club with a chance of winning something.

Grealish at Man City is one of the least enjoyable wingers to watch. Vini Jr and Rodrygo are what wingers should do.

Ancelotti’s played Man City like a fiddle here. Let them have the ball, put all outfield players behind the ball out of possession then hit them quick on the counter-attack when they get the ball back. When Man City have the ball in Madrid’s half, it’s a snooze fest. When Madrid have it in City’s half, you feel they might score.

Haaland’s the best goal-poacher in world football right now. But I get a lot of the criticism he’s had recently. If he comes up against an intelligent elite centre-half like Saliba, Van Dijk or Rüdiger, he looks like Tom Eaves. He just gets pocketed and he’s out of the game.

Neur is my fav keeper ever and he even does passing better
With the ball at his feet
Instead of just doing a standard pass along the box
He chips it up then volleys it over the arsenal attacker

    Hope allsops watching

I remember reading something by a Dortmund fan who said Haaland was more dynamic at Dortmund than at Man City. He said Haaland’s bulked up in terms of muscle mass and that’s caused him to lose a lot of his agility and dynamism. He also said Haaland’s build-up play was better at Dortmund and he’s become pigeonholed as a pure goal scorer at Man City at the expense of becoming a more well-rounded forward.

    Can see that
    At dortmund at full pace
    He was rapid

He’s still rapid but he’s lost a lot of his balance and agility. At Dortmund, his playing style was a lot more like Delap’s. He could run in behind, hold the ball up and lay it off but he could also turn and dribble at defenders and had good technique.

Also, what Guardiola’s done to Grealish is a travesty for football. Good for Guardiola and City overall but £100 million to turn a player who loved to dribble at defenders into a glorified Marc Albrighton should be a footballing war crime.
