What I'm finding in this conflict (and always have) is that one group of ppl will talk about the actual issues. The opposing group won't, they just attack the people wanting to talk about the issue. Honestly just pay attention to it. There's little or no argument from ppl like Lipman about what's going on, they just attack those wanting to talk about it.
The ridiculous Tory witch-hunt of Angela Raynor and a (very much) alleged Capital Gains tax avoidance of £15k is in its own way glorious - as it epitomises just how little ammunition the Tories have on their opponents. A non-story, created by a multi-millionaire non-dom tax evader, promoted in the Fail and Murdochs empire (Sky News). BBC nailing their colours to the mast on Kuntsberg today, making it an assault line on Lammy, whilst not even mentioning a really serious scandal, WragGate with the slimy Dowden.
Do you really think this Labour party is worth defending? Our democracy is a sham and as long as people go on supporting it by voting for the two main parties it will remain so. Lammy is an opportunist who has changed his strory on Israel at least 3 times in the last month. I hate the Tories but I hate the faux Tories even more. This Labour party is taking up the space where we need a Left wing alternative. Why support Starmer in his naked ambition? Find an Independent or a Green and make your vote count.
I love and 100% agree with you ,as soon as the term Left Wing is on the table you get JC thrown at you , 2 party politics in the UK needs a big kick up the arse and needs someone brave enough to set a new agenda for workers
I would have thought that by now you would know my affinity to the current Labour Party is tenuous at best. But to suggest I should hate this iteration under Starmer MORE than the Tories is frankly ridiculous. Just to be clear... 1. I am an advocate of PR and ideally a Government comprising of a balance of Left and Centre Left Parties 2. I do not want a huge majority for this Labour Party. 3. I would recommend voting for whichever Party has the best chance of unseating the Tories at the next election. 4. I would hope that all Scots would vote SNP to help achieve 2 and 3 above. However... - I wouldn't NOT vote Labour if for one moment I thought it might enable and extend the governance of the Party that has destroyed the country for 14 years. - Maybe, just maybe, there is a chance that as the elected Government, with a strong mixed centre left Opposition, there might just be a start on the change that the UK desperately needs. Rant over... Enjoy the match, mate!
Do you never learn. Of course its worse to have a right wing labour party. We sussed them out in Scotland years ago. Animal Farm, you are voting for the Pigs. The tory farmer has finished himself.
Although this report is about the BBC Scotland propaganda to support the union, you should be interested to see how 'Daily Mail' your impartial BBC is. This is a good example of what we also faced in the Independence referendum and why many Scots hold the BBC in contempt. The covid report on Scotland as viewed by Unionists.
Tbh one of the greatest lies that has become a truth is about the BBC being left wing. It is politically rancid. And this has been happening for years...haven't watched question time in over a decade cos it lead to me screaming at the lack of honesty and actual facts on any issue. Fiona Bruce is an utter disgrace as a chair.
Although there are many good programmes on the BBC and Radio 4, the news and politics are establishment only. Of course now that the two major parties are more and more aligned, establishment can be described as both Labour and Tory. The BBC must be delighted. All part of this 'rancid', good word RCL, UK that we live in. Of course I have lived my life in the UK free from harm but then I am not Black or Muslim.
Henry Zeffman, the BBC's Chief Political Correspondent, on being part of the Wragg story: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68761113 I wonder just how many numbers that ****wit gave out?
As the BBC appears far more interested in pursuing the Raynor non-story than they do the increasingly serious Wragg saga, I personally have no ****ing sympathy for Henry whatsoever. And I wonder whether his recollection of his own WhatsApp exchanges is entirely accurate!
The Wragg story which was known about for at least a year, but The Great Noticing only happened recently Hence the smokescreen about Rayner selling a house she owned kicking off a few weeks ago
