I feel for Vicario. While the defence individually are good players, the system leaves him so exposed.

Yeah everything’s gone to **** since the goal. Look like we can barely string 2 passes together and clueless in the final 3rd.

    Yawn-ball again, unfortunately.

    Much better second half needed.

Too many misplaced passes. Too many individual mistakes. Too many players losing the footing. Not enough quality.

We have to win this game. We’ve got such tricky fixtures coming up, we can’t be dropping points to a Nuno team <laugh>

This is what happens against lower placed teams. They are geared not to lose and look for breakaway chances. It always ends up with us looking bad until we score. Game as expected.

First 20 was good...couldn't cope with werner...then they scored and we again allowed ourselves to get into stupid rucks instead of playing our game.

Maddison, Johnson and Udogie need to massively up their game cos they are offering very little of any substance.

Forest fans chanting is this a library...am sitting near them ... heard next to nothing till they scored...atmosphere was OK until we went to ****e

    Big second half coming up

Ange pursues this risk and reward policy, never criticising players for trying things in pursuit of the objective.
Trouble is that when the bad outweighs the good, what is also lost is discipline - where players start making bad decisions and do it without fear of criticism.
That's what I think we are seeing with some of the lads out there now.

Yes that was as bad a half I've seen so far this season. So slow and flat. Madison, Bissouma and Udogie having a complete mare.

    Big 2nd half needed.

It's clear that the System is going to be a huge issue until we upgrade multiple positions.

Main problem is too many players who don't seem to understand their roles. Or if they do, their roles are too vague to not make problems inevitable.

Maddison, Sarr and Bissouma top of this list, for me. I've watched all three closely for a while and I couldn't write a scouting report on what they're meant to bring to the team if you paid me.

The defense gets zero protection from midfield, who are almost by design always a few yards behind the players they're meant to be marking. But at the other end of the pitch, none of them are creative enough or penetrative enough (e.g. running centrally beyond the last man a la Dele) to make much of an impact.

So we have a group of players who aren't really having an impact anywhere.

Difficult to see that happening I'm afraid. Spammers game all over again and you could see the confidence draining from them as the half progressed.

Loads of people around me who are never here so I'm assuming the time and moved date or a lot off. Atmosphere very flat...

I know I've banged this drum many times before, but it's difficult to watch Son and not see a player who is slowly but surely in decline.

We cannot be blind or naive to this fact, or the need to replace him will creep up on us and stab us in the arse.

While it has been a frustrating watch, I think this is far too negative. If we do end up winning this game (and it’s a big if) we are in 4th with a game in hand. Only 11 points off the top. And if we hadn’t had that terrible run of injuries I’m sure we would be a lot closer.
It’s consistency that the three players you mentioned are missing. Maddison and Sarr less so than Bissouma who is such a frustrating player as he has so much talent.

I don't think I'm being negative. I just genuinely don't understand the roles of our central players.

    Do you?

Could you tell me what each of them are meant to do, both in and out of possession?
