After 25 mins it was a good performance... Fulham are good at home. The problem Newcastle have is they'll have half a team of good players and half a team of plodders.
Personally think Anderson is actually a '10' and is constantly slightly out of position. He's better CM than he is on the wing. We'd need to try a double pivot to get more out of him, but I think it would be worth trying as Bruno's transition passing is among the best in the league, and Anderson is nimble of both feet and brain so in that final third he's looking sharp. Would also like to see Anderson nearer the intelligence of Isak. Added bonus of trying a 4-2-3-1 is Murphy/Gordon either side would work really well. Small tweaks but i genuinely think they make big differences.
I almost agreed with this. Sadly, you mentioned 'Murphy' and 'really well' and it all fell apart. He tries. He gives 100% and for that I won't criticise him. He's just not good enough if we are to progress.
He wasn't even trying Yesterday.. Krafth got no protection from him. He was absolutely shocking Murphy... his funny faces don't fool people that know.
Howe isn't going to play Gordon and Barnes.. he's got a hard on for having an impact sub. Something that's kept into the sport unfortunately even if it means playing **** players.
It’s actually a reasonable tactic. He needs to get a lot better at it, but there’s something in that.
Not if you're playing **** players ... the big clubs can do it, but we are playing Jacob Murphy ffs. Just win the game and make subs if needed.
Aye, I mean we have an exceptional talent who has mustered 2 assists in 46 appearances who everyone's lecturing me about telling me he's bossing games when he clearly isn't
