Very true - and the fans would still be arguing. As a case in point, this was from the St. Mirren v Hearts game yesterday - the ref said no penalty, then checked the monitor and said no penalty again. It does look like one of those 'maybe, maybe not' situations, but the general feeling is that if it had happened to Rangers or Celtic, a penalty would have been awarded straight away. Just one of those instances which reinforce my thoughts that VAR should be scrapped.
It's just another ref making a subjective view really. in this case the ref stick by his decision but usually they don't as feel under pressure to correct themselves.
