Watching Man C v Gunners, not very good. Man C with most of the possession, but doing nothing with it. Gunners more touches in opposition box but miss with their shots. Another drink and watch second half, or off to bed? Hmm, twenty past midnight, nothing planned for tomorrow, large rum (local) and cola it is. I lived near the old Highbury for several years and watched them on numerous occasions. Sort of follow them.
Amazing comeback for the Binners and they regain top of the league. Now Leeds are already 1-0 up against Hull, which is good for us. But the points being accumulated by the top three are crazy - it’s still mathematically possible for all of them to get over 100 points, which would mean one team without autos despite 100. I think 3rd place will more likely finish on 97/98, but that would still be the highest 3rd place finish by some margin
Omo got the second highest player rating for Notts Forest in their game against Fulham. Aarons was a late substitute for Bournemouth against Crystal Palace.
It's amazing how quickly you forget about these players. McCallum did something against Leicester and I had a flack-back to Aarons and thought, wow I haven't thought about him for most of the season.
Given how little flack was aimed at him during his time with us, I'm not surprised Max-related flack-backs are in short supply
Sheffield Wednesday were 2 nil winners against QPR at Loftus Road today. From being rock bottom, they're now just 1 point behind 21st-placed Huddersfield, and fighting to escape the relegation zone. Tuesday night's match at Hillsborough is likely going to be tough.
Yeah with so much to fight for it will be tough and they will keep on coming. I wonder though if someone attacking us helps leave gaps we can exploit rather than sitting in there and we having to break down a very defensive team
Wednesday are currently 22nd in the form table over the last 5 games. QPR was their only win, with 3 losses and 1 draw being the other results. We've won 4 of our last 5 games and are currently joint top of the form table with Coventry. I think they'll defend and try to counterattack. As usual, the first goal could be critical.
Not sure how he could get, and hold down, a first team place. Who does he replace? I accept that he is, potentially a very good player, but in our setup and rosta there is no solid place for him.
On home form only, Wednesday are performing much better than you are making out Rick. Over 6 matches they are 7th in the home form table (with Preston, our opponents next Saturday, in 6th; the only teams above them are all teams in the current Championship top six). Meanwhile, again over 6 matches, we still languish 20th in the away form table. Clearly we are favourites to win both matches, but the potential to drop crucial points is definitely there.
That’s 6 from nine starts for Celtic. Both Cantwell and Dowell came on as subs for Rangers. Perhaps Idah needed game time away from NCFC.
