It's always been an issue at our ground more than most. Strange.

It was a windy day, you are always going to have rubbish flying around. Nothing you can do about it

Be interesting to see how many other grounds are so open on the bottom like ours. Most to me appear to have the advertising hoardings right next to the fans. We have quite a large area of empty space from the fans to the edge of the pitch, and I don’t think that helps at all.

    I disagree
    - If its not lying about the stadium it doesn't fly around onto the pitch
    It really is that simple.

There's definitely things that can be done to reduce/eliminate the issue.

Is it people not putting stuff in the bins? If so educate them with signage or get stewards to pull them up on it?

Is it people are putting it in the bins but the wind on the concourse is blowing it back out? If so, do the bins have lids to keep the waste inside?

Very windy today, did a couple of the bins on the concourse blow over? If so, could they be secured to the wall to keep them in an upright position?

There's 3 hypothesis with solutions. Just as Trossard makes it 3 for Arsenal.

One things for certain there is no way Sunderland has a higher proportion of people who chuck rubbish on the floor rather than the bin in comparison to other city's, so same must be said in the stadium! So I'd assume its more the rubbish making it's way to the pitch easier rather than more rubbish in the stadium?

    On a related note:

Adults chucking rubbish should receive 50 lashings and have to pick rubbish up from the street with their toes for the day! Children chucking rubbish and their parents should receive 25 lashings and pick rubbish up with their hands for the day for not teaching them any better!

****ing disgusting habit and it's why vast majority if places look ****ing ****!

I will help you do the lashing.
And even more for the gum spitters , who don’t even have to use their hands to carry it to a bin.
And as for the bone idle tw”ts who spit it to the floor even though they are close enough to touch the bin……..

We did okay, with very little up top. It’s been a poor season.

Compared to last season yeah, but we are not far away from having a decent squad and have some exciting talent coming through the ranks.

It's been an ok season reflected by the fact we're squarely in mid table. We can do better but it hasn't been a disaster despite all the drama on and off the pitch.

It sounds like the owners haven't enjoyed what they've seen too much and will be looking into ironing out the wrinkles.

I believe it is this exactly their is among some a lack of pride and a lack of respect for not only the Stadium but the area in general in fact some seem to take pride in how downtrodden and bad the northeast is and at times it really annoys me. Our roots are our roots with hard working strong people who would stand tall and puff their chest out, they would show pride and at times arrogance about their clubs and areas but things like throwing rubbish on the ground a spitting out gum in the street were not tolerated. I can remember my Nana washing her step every Sunday morning and there were people up and down the street doing the same as it was not considered right to have a dirty step at your front door and now we have scruffy dirty that's who can not be arsed to put rubbish in their pockets to put in a bin later.
In the whole scheme of things it is a small thing but it smack of the attitude of today's society, of the I'm alright jack attitude and the let somebody else do it, the quick fix and it is somebody else's problem and of kids being taught about gaming the system rather than how to find a good job and work for what you want. Where has pride and honour gone.
Honour or being an honourable person used to be a thing but in these days of woke agendas and feminist/misogynistic, Racist, homophobic, gendersensitive or any other key words you could think of somebody will always find a way to twist words to suit whatever point they want to make instead of looking to what is meant by the words and the true feelings behind them.
Words can only be offensive when underlying hate and or ignorance is meant.
Honour and pride in the area and Stadium should be instilled in all supporters that sense of pride they often sing about.
'I can't help falling in love with you' you don't treat something you love like that.
    Rant owa.
