Fair play to the fans who travelled today . If 4,000 or 5,000 of the 20,000 at home games got behind the team like the ones amongst the away following who were singing from the kick off instead of waiting for us to be entertained and carried on throughout the game our home results would no doubt be better.

Going forward it certainly was different of late. Losing Delap has meant we’ve had to adapt the pace of our passing as we don’t have a tempo dictating player in terms of driving us forward playing at the minute. We executed perfectly today.

To be honest I thought it was reasonably similar to our first game against Cardiff. A lot of balls over the top, and some good passing chains that got us in behind them.

I get what you're saying. I said pretty much the same after Southampton away and Leicester at home. The problem has been all those games in between where we happily have the possession but don't do all that much with it. People can call us all negative etc for saying it, but when you get to see now and then what this team can do, it becomes all the more frustrating when we ponder up the field so safely, don't break the lines etc and inevitably come away with little to show for it. We have the ability to take a game to teams in this division. If we play every other game this season with that level of desire, energy and willingness to try and make something happen, I'll honestly be happy despite the results.

Absolutely need to replicate that energy and mentality on Wednesday night now so this doesn't go down as another 'one-off'.

Games like today are the benchmark of what this team is capable of
