One of our hardest games we now have 5 games left and the other teams chasing know that they have to keep winning and hope we slip ip
We basically controlled that game from kick off. They never had a sniff at scoring. We have had much harder winning games than that this season. And we are now only one point behind WBA. Okay, they have played one game less and have superior goal diff. WE WILL FINISH FIFTH. There, my forecast.
Sky gave MotM to Stacey, who had a great game, but surely Núñez was MotM. I'm amazed that we held them to 3 shots on target from 10 chances. Our defending was excellent and very well disciplined and Núñez's goal deserved to be the winner. Absolutely brilliant by all concerned.
Stacey started the game poorly, but ended up mom. Thought McCullum had possibly his best game for us. Nunez in centre mid really does make us tick.
Nunez was my MOM, even without the winning goal he was absolutely everywhere, his running stats must be huge, he was pressing the ball in their final third and the next minute filling gaps behind our full backs
Gibson, as a pure defender, is very good. But put the ball at his feet and his decision making comes down to passing backwards or standing still while working out positive options.
Agree - I think that might have been his best ever game in a Norwich shirt. Certainly that I can remember.
That match also pulls us level in the head to head: https://www.11v11.com/teams/norwich-city/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Ipswich Town/
Said the freekick was an “ok” strike, doesn’t appreciate that Nunez has likely deliberately struck it to bounce in front of the keeper to make it harder. Chambers was always a below average player
