I think I prefer Chelsea losing to United these days to be honest Maybe if United were a threat to the title it would be different... But at the current level, at least have to say I respect United as a self-made team rather than the shady business of Chelsea the last several decades. When United get their act together and become a title threat again I'll boo them. Right now, kinda dislike Chelsea more and want to see them fail.
That was a hilarious end to a piss poor game. The usual commentators whittering on about end to end but it was just error srewn Utd lost varane and evans last night. that might be important sunday. garnacho and mainoo are the ones we need to kill. rashford will be hangng about not helping his sdie and a threat while fernandes won't run at all but dive all day. Utd have no grit or real team ethic. thats what is killing them. they have some that could be the core of a team ethic but not enough. Dalot was unlucky last night for that pen but it happens and he would be one of the ones whith a bit of team about him.
Not sure why everyone is going so over the top at Anthony's pass to Garnacho for his second. Yeah it was good (his first assist of the season btw), but just look at Robertson's deep cross for Gakpo's goal last night and just as good if not better, right on the money and doesn't bounce up to make it tricky for the finisher, it's right on his noggin. Don't forget he's only using the outside of the boot, because he's only got one foot in the first place.
People go way over the top when it comes to outside of the boot passes. I’ve always been a semi decent player for my level and I’ve always used the outside of my foot to ply passes, did it on a Sunday at 11 a side and do it on a 5 a side kick around with mates. It’s not a difficult skill and I often find it easier playing through balls like that than the instep. I’d expect every single footballer to be able to play a pass into 40 yards of space using outside of their foot without it being a huge deal.
Did anyone watch that game last night? Mr Palmer couldn't control the ball, was falling overr it in sapce and generally tosh. Utd were given 2 pens that he took and then a massive deflection off a quick corner went in and he's a "world class player" My god. Chelsea were awful and utd were doing nothing but having the away fans cheer a few passes unitl finally a unfancied cheslea winger had a run at utd and utd coughed up a silly pen. Palmer in general play is not that great. Enzo looked over weight and disinterested, caicedo a liability. just the odd 270mil or something but one got handed 2 pens and a massive defelction so its all good.
I'm in my 60s now and haven't played serious football for decades, but I well remember trying an outside of a right foot pass like that on the volley during an 8-a-side at Bebbington Oval. I tore my thigh muscle and for nearly 6 months I couldn't kick a ball in anger.
"The signing of the season," said an emotional Joe Cole in his normal after-match hyperbole orgasms. He's rapidly becoming to Chelsea punditry what Michael Owen is to us.
he was crying like a foot at 3-2. on about rio bullying him. palmer didn't win a win. plamer put them away. big deal. Palmer wasn't closed down cos utd fell asleep and plamer fired a very average shot in that took a massive deflection off the player who should have been on him that then went in. He was strolling about fumbling over the ball most of the half.
so by how many do city win today? 5? then only Luton the following weekend and then a break with thr fa cup against the dogshite chelsea line up. they can really go hard for 25mins today and beat palace bam bam bam and then get ready for real madrid.
4-2 is the least damage likely. arsenal will trounce Brighton later if they can get the lead as Brighton have a lot of issues and injuries.
He was a good signing for them and might come somewhere on a list for signing of the season but he doesn't get past our own two, Endo and Mac Allister.
