Some of my biggest customers are hydrogen generation. Using grid excess to produce hydrogen, northern gas network are in some cases adding it it the supply for natural gas as a trial. Higher calorific value so will boil your soup faster.
The speed is absolutely the best thing about these electrics, there's no such thing as gear changes with them. Its just boom off you go.
The best thing about hydrogen, the rich use it to power their Royce's Whilst it is excellent power for the nations soup kitchens, even the average Joe benefits
Right now, the infrastructure for electric cars is cementing itself in Europe, it's clearly the future. I think Mazda still keep their focus on hybrids while everyone else is going full electric. It all comes down to what you get for the price for me, I have no real bias. As far as I've been looking hybrids are more expensive than electrics.
Electric I just think of Ernie and milk floats, and what we going to do with the big heavy batteries. Obviously I appreciate we have evolved since them days, and you clearly know more about this than me. Still like the idea of the range that hybrids can go though. What happens in war though when there is no power, everyone will wish they were Del Boy again or calling for the return of Jeremy Clarkson, actually probably not.
Will be mass produced cars that drive the technology. electric cars are the short term stop gap I feel. The UK seems to be investing in the tech/start ups driving this. Interesting for the engineering problems
My company have been awarded contracts for hydrogen plants from a government initiative across our manufacturing sites in the UK. We also invested in an offshore wind farm which came online a year or so ago, so can claim we will be using full green energy across the manufacturing sites, using the credits from the wind farm electricity. Slowly getting dragged into the project now that a lot of the contractual agreements are concluding.
there is a company in Sheffield, ITM power who supply the plants/stacks. Another just both of them. it’s been an education to see how they have gone from operating out of a shipping container, small unit, to a massive site built specifically for manufacture and R&D.
I am nowhere near as clued up as others on here like. I'm one of them, if it's Hybrid, Electric, diesel or hydrogen my question is always the same "does it look cool and drive fast?"
They would be my first concerns too lol My brother has an engineering background and works now as an air traffic controller. So he's all about the minute details of these sorts of things I just like it coz it's fast, it's a cool nardo grey colour and you don't have to change gear.
Yeah Teslas aren’t the prettiest to look at but can’t be beat on price and range. I’ve had an IX for about 6 months now. Really nice car and fast as ****. Currently getting about 240 range but should go to about 300 in the summer.
I don't do buses bro, been arrested on more busses than i can count so avoid them and bus drivers as much as possible. Its the tube or Uber for me. Car in London.... ****ing pointless unless you like sitting in traffic tbh
I pay for uber one too so you get cheaper rides and food orders. Uber is Handy as and never have to wait long for one
