Grow up. He came to Anfield first. He had a medical. Following the medical Liverpool drastically ammended their offer based upon what they found and their estimation of his value to us. He did not like the new offer and walked. He then whent to his second choice - Newcastle who were prepared to take the risk. Now had he been A1 during his medical the offer would have been significantly higher at Liverpool than the one he accepted at Newcastle. The mere fact that Liverpool were not prepared to offer their 'usual' level of terms speaks volumes. So, if you want he rejected our offer but our offer was designed to be rejected - hence no skin off our nose.

What purpose would it serve to get him to 'intentionally' reject you instead of just pulling out of the deal yourself? Get used to him being on the treatment table because that's going to be his position for the majority of the 5 years. We have already proved that we can manage very well without Gerrard. However, when he does regain fitness he's a worldclass option that we have whereas you don't.
