How about a minimum of 9 goals instead? <laugh>

If you want 8 (to catch up on goal difference). Take into account that if we win we'll be two points ahead. That means for GD to be looked at we need to draw a game when Arsenal win.... At which point GD will shift a minimum of 1 in Arsenal's favour. Draws are always 0 GD and wins always positive by at least +1

Win by 8 tonight, yes our GD will be equal, but not when taking into account Arsenal winning when we don't.

    I suppose.

But this is the game to shift that balance back. if you look through the rest?

Sheffield United (h) One we need to fill our boots in
Manchester United (a) Odd things have happened but we know they will **** house and try to counter.
Crystal Palace (h) ONe to target.
Fulham (a) Slightly hard away game but they are on the beach
Everton (a) This lot will ****house for their lives.
West Ham United (a) God knows, moyes record is woeful against us.
Tottenham Hotspur (h) Not one to think GD in tough for 4th
Aston Villa (a) Not one to think GD in. tough for 4th again
Wolverhampton (h) not one to chase gd in on the last day but at least is at home and they will be on the beach.

Honestly we will go amazingly not to end up the worst of the three clubs on GD but all the games are winnable after the weekend which IMO will be the pressure hurdle.

Any win will do as far as I'm concerned. Knowing us we'll probably concede first anyway.

Yep, inevitable that it'll be low scoring, always is in these circumstances

    bam bam bam.

thats how to put this to bed. hit them fast and early and while their heads are spinning score another couple. they fold all the time.

this is not a side that can defend or ****house 11 behind the ball as they are simply no good at it. they have 15 points

3 wins luton, wolves before they got organised, brentford in the middle of a injury crisis
6 draws. 2 draws v everton who were shameful, brighton (who got a man sent off before utd equalised) VILLA (inexplicable draw), west ham, bournemouth, fulham.

All the results show that when they concede early they are inclined to be routed. Newcastle absolutely thumped them 8-0. they have conceded 77 goals. They are on for letting in 100 by the end imo.

Score first, and keep scoring to kill the off. Playing team in the bottom of the league is not always easy. Their players want to put on their best performance because they do not want to play in the championship next season.

    exaclty. don't give them hope.

    bam. bam bam.

then steal their lunch money. bully them.

this has to be a statment of intent in the run up to the weekend.

The pressure form the media if we put in a bang average 1-0 or 2-1 will be immense.

If you come in off a big win the cannot really lead out with a headline of are the reds about to crack? Utd to deny LFC the title at old trafford and so forth and so on.

If we don't score 4 first half then send on 3 subs who can make a claim for more game time and try score themsevles we will only have ourselves to blame later.

The best sides (arsneal) went there and scored nice and early and trounced them.

We all know the mentality of these types of players. Some are looking to a new club, others the championship, some are just wanting to not be embaressed.

You do not want to encourage them to do anything but get off that park as fast as possible. I am convinced by their resutls so far that if the concede a couple they will drop their heads and it cna become a rout.

Their results also show some fight where they have actually made a couple of comebacks over the course of the entire season so you really want them to drop the ehads and just meekly get out of anfield.

They have 2 final hurrahs at staying up coming in brentford and burnely and need both wins just to get to 21. they won;t be expecting a win at anfield but might think a point would be awesome. we need to knock that out of thier heads quick.

    LET ****ING DO THIS!!!!

I'd be ecstatic with a 4 goal GD gain, but I reiterate that anyone thinking it's just a matter of how many we win by has seemingly never learnt from the past.
All the "easy win" games are a potential banana skin.

    it's not easy win.

Its we have to do this. we need it. irrespective of how hard or easy it is we have to really go at it.

the very worst thing is tapping it about pretending to control a game at home at 1-0 or whatever

There's a solution to that. When Klopp's telling Salah, et al., to score 8 or 9 goals- he also tells Alison "don't let any goals in".

Simple as that, banana skin avoided. Unless of course, Chris Wilder says the same thing to his team... then things get complicated.

Sorry, guys but my dream last night informs me that we only win 2-0. It also informs me that Fabinho (yes Fabinho formerly of Liverpool but now of Al-Attiwhateverthefuck) was sent off for Sheffield for a knee-high tackle on Salah.
Jürgen then proceeded to look around the pitch for Salah's missing patella much like he did earlier in the season with his wedding ring

Shows the sorry state of refereeing in this country that they let Fabinho sign outside the transfer window, and also let the Sheffield barstewards run off with Salah's patella (sounds a long recovery for that).

Oh, and welcome back... don't think I've seen you in a long time!
