Arsenal beating Luton like we all knew they would. Villa pulled back level with City... Makes things interesting, even if, City still likely to win.
If I was emery, I'd be absolutely furious. Villa architects of there own downfall. 2nd goal straight through the wall 3rd goal 5 defenders not one decided to mark foden 4th goal, villa players takes so long to pass the ball out if defence, that foden has the opportunity to moan, get up and then cut it out. All while squandering a 3 on 2 attacking opportunity to make it 2 -2. Fine finish for two of the goals, but sweet jesus easily avoidable
The dissolving wall aside, their defending hasn't been too bad - but their attempts to play out from the back have been woeful. Losing possession in dangerous areas repeatedly. Piss poor for a top 4 team.
their defensive record didn't suggest they would win this gsme or anything anyway. they've got a good amount of goals and points being direct and countering but they have conceded too many.
Not watched any of the games but noticed Martinez missing again when they play city. Funny that. Did he self certify again?
It's symptomatic of most surprise packages that are in a top 4 battle at this point of the season. They've usually started well but struggle in relation to their rivals at the business end of the season.
Its really down to man utd and cheslea absolutely wasting billions on bad transfers. Spurs had a transition of manager and kane going so are where they are after being 8th. villa are in a false position imo. Thats not to say they can't use it but they are not that good imo
