This might get me accused of my head being in the sand, but I do. I understand why people are leaning towards Rosenior going - but as a club with no parachute money we have to be savvy with how we build the squad and the consistency that comes with that. Rosenior has improved us - and I admire the work he has done to improve our passing game. Considering last night we had 3/4 of our defence coming from pre-Rosenior as well as Seri and Tufan - that means he’s managed to get those players playing the system he wants. He’s improved Coyle and Slater as well as getting new signings that are on paper an asset to get. We are clearly failing when it comes to the final third but he’ll know that. In terms of improvement to our play - he’s managed to get lots of it right. Lots of it isn’t currently great, but I’m going to hope that’ll come. I would prefer to build and create a squad and team with continuity with the hope of emulating Luton/Brighton/Brentford. They all kept at their plan and were rewarded with success eventually. That will be frustrating at times and I appreciate some may not be convinced by Rosenior’s ability to do that. But I have seen enough, just, that makes me want to continue to back him.

There's no suggestion that he's only in it for the short term though. Especially when you look at academy plans, the players he's signing for the academy and the fact he's buying senior players to develop for profit also. His investment certainly isn't short-termist.
About last night. I have never seen a referee stop a game before and then stand applauding with the fans applauding at a set time in honour of someones death as happened last night. They had already held a minutes applause before the game kicked off which was well respected. I also see Tan Kesler laid a wreath in honour of the two Leeds fans who were killed in Turkey twenty odd years ago. That's a class act by Hull City. And I dont agree with those posting that leeds could have won 5-1 last night. It was still 1-1 in the 88th minute, it was a penalty, and we gave them the third goal which was totally avoidable. As for the suggestion that Acun is only here for the short term. The decision will be made if our crowds drop off and this witchhunt against the manager and his tactics gathers momentum. Promotion this season was always a bit of a pipe dream and it took a kick in the teeth when we lost Delap but we still might make 6th place, who knows? I doubt it personally, but, I will not be cancelling my membership because we are not in the Premier League. Best we can do now is throw the kitchen sink at the next seven games and hope for the best and enjoy the ride, because its not a disaster if we dont go up this season.
Let's be honest, half of us would rather have a promotion push next year over getting dry ****ed every week in the Premier league.
I thought last night was another good away performance. The problem is having most of the possession and controlling a game doesn't win you a football match. Let's be honest, Leeds could have scored 3 goals and they played poorly. The appalling home form has probably cost this team a chance of getting in the play-offs, but you never know. The young coach is always telling us he is learning his trade and that could be the reason he continues to struggle getting his team to create shooting opportunities. This is a good team on paper which should be doing much better. How much longer does he need to sort it out and can the fans expect much of the same next season - what a thought - knowing he is unwilling to change his unsuccessful way of playing football? If he won't use a plan B perhaps the owner will.
You don't believe Bamford should have buried his 4 yard sitter or that their shot that span onto the post and out could have easily crept in? That's 5 goals right there just talking about those 2 chances. If that Bamford chance in particular was say, Tufan for us - he'd be getting hounded. Look at Traore's chance in the reverse fixture. A lot of people said we should have won that game because of that one key chance. It has to work both ways.
I don't get this thinking at all. It seems to imply that rolling the dice on another new manager would offer a guaranteed improvement that we can't afford to turn down. In reality it would be a huge gamble which many other clubs at this level have taken and found that it's backfired for them entirely. Obviously nothing is guaranteed, I'm not saying that sticking with consistency and gradual growth is a guarantee either, but I think there are several good examples of clubs who've had success that way, and very few who've had success by repeatedly changing manager.

I agree with this. I think when you change a manager in our circumstances you have to accept that you are ending the work you’ve done so far and starting as a new project, with some things the players will carry over from learning.
We’d certainly need to stay along the same lines or else there’d be no point. If we were ambitious you’d be saying someone like Potter, Cooper. But they’re 2 sides of the coin. Cooper is a transition football gaffer, Potter is similar to Rosenior but has shown consistent results of chance creation in his teams whilst also being a very good defensive side too.
I’d be really surprised if either of those took a Championship job. They’ll both be in line for England if Southgate leaves and both will be on clubs like Everton’s list next year if they fancy a change.
