Right. So you're choosing to get upset over a bunch of speculation about some random scenario which you imagine might play out in the next year and a half. Each to their own <ok>

Everyone is bothered and concerned about what the summer may bring.

We have to hope the club have learned and adapted. If come the end of the window we have another group of potential then it's the time to shout

What I don't understand is that a few weeks ago most poisters were saying all we needed were an experienced CF and CDM. Now some of these posters are suggesting the majority of the team is useless and we could/will be relegated next season!!
IMO we are not that far away and with the right coach/manager, 3-4 quality signings in the right areas and people back from injury I think we will not be far away next season.

I would say 2 max 3 should be enough with the right coaching.
There is however a caveat. We need to get our injured players fit.

I think this is a very small minority. We have the basis of a good first eleven, if not a good squad. This squad is young and needs proper guidance, which right now it doesn't seem to be getting, both on and off the pitch. Add the injuries to that, the change of coaches and the sudden change of playing style and you can understand why we don't look anything like the side which entertained us all last season.

With the right planning, the right coaching staff and imo a more experienced DOF, it wouldn't take a lot for things to be turned around again next season.

How many we bring in will probably depend on how many we let go, particularly our star players. I don't currently see anyone in the squad who could fill Neil's, Clarkes or Ballards shoes, so we might need 3 there. Add to that a couple of strikers and a CDM. Triantis has done well at CDM at Hibs, but probably still needs to ease his way in to playing at Championship level. Also, we don't keep enough clean sheets, so the defence needs looking at. We could be looking at 6/7 if the 3 stars go.
I totally agree that getting quality players like Huggins, Alese and Cirkin back from injury would help massively, but it's not just a question of getting them back, it's keeping them back that's the most important thing. For that, an investment in Sports Science could be invaluable.

Get these areas right and you're spot on, we will have a good season.

Will experienced players want to come, knowing they'll be pushed out of the door as soon as they get too close to 30.

O'Nien came from Wycombe so is unlikely to be on a fortune.

Dack was bought to placate Mowbray and will be pushed out in the summer if we can shift him.

Experience generally costs money and we moved on the likes of Pritchard and Batth because we thought we had cheaper replacements.

I'm not saying we're doing it on the cheap, I'm just saying we're spending our money in the wrong place at the moment.

On stockpiling five foot six 'attacking players', none of which seem to have a settled position.

Disagree with the part about the cheaper options (when you referred to pritchard n batth), think it was more the club thought they had better replacements for them. Pritchard going has given rigg n adil more game time, both players i feel have bigger upside than pritchard.

Baath looked done every game ive seen him play this season, again they feel seelt has higher upside

Gooch would have been 4th or 5th choice at the start of the season so probably right to let him go.

My issue is letting them all go in 1 season, need to filter leaders like that out the squad - not do it at once

Your final sentence is spot on tho, weve spent money (you wouldnt think that by the amount of people that go on about penny pinching), we just havent invested it wisely

With the knock on effect that any experienced leaders we're looking at will be wondering whether we're a good option.

Depends how you define "experienced leaders". If that means someone around 30,who wants a 3 or 4 year deal,at the top earner level, where he only trains twice a week because he wants to take his coaching badges, whose family are never going to move as his kids are settled in school......no thank you, stop wondering,we're not a good option...we've been here before!

Dack only got a year contract in anyway did he not, if so we'll have no problem shifting him

Still produced the best bit of movement in the box yesterday for the header which led to the goal. Dack has been a let down, but he is far from our worst player, in my opinion. Much bigger problems to remedy this summer than letting Dack leave.

I don't mind him tbh. He just can't stay uninjured for long enough to get fit. Another one a decent medical staff would be looking to tailor a very specific programme to.

Yesterday we started with two recognised defenders (Hume and Ballard) eight midfielders and no strikers.
