That’s 3 wins in 4, each one you said we would easily lose..
LMs tactics etc make sense, not sure what is needed to be convinced he knows what he’s doing!

More of the same will do it for me. You can’t just ignore the games he got horribly wrong, but credit where it’s due the last two have been much better. Today was better in a sense than Friday, our tactics were good and he changed them in game, which has been a criticism of mine previously, I also liked how he rotated players, using the squad to “spread the load”.

Let’s see if we can maintain the decent form for the next few games
Our Achilles heel is still lack of consistency and we still don’t score enough goals

Warnock is the obvious go to, at least for the rumour mill, he has the CV for this type of scenario, he’s available and still lives local to Plymouth. Has to be a better bet than letting the equally inexperienced No2 of the guy they sacked take the reigns until the end of the season.

Ashton, that was my critiscsm of Nige, his tactics and team setup were woeful, and he got so many games horribly wrong as well, how you can’t, or won’t see that is staggering!!
Yes, LM has as well, no doubt, but I can see an identity in the way he wants the team to play, that for me, Nige just never had. It’s been hit and miss so far for LM for sure, but I definitely see enough for him to be backed to bring the players that suit the way he wants to play.

But But But Nige had a considerably weaker squad due to injuries he was having to play players out of position to fill positions-even having a bench without enough subs on it.

<doh>As I’ve explained on numerous occasions it’s context, NP did what he did whilst not only having his hands tied behind his back, but also whilst wearing a straight jacket, that you don’t get that is mind boggling, everyone else does, even our useless board. LM was supposed to improve us this season as NP was judged to be underperforming, the reality is since joining his record has been no better, so why did we change mid season?

Sorry to say, and loathe to bring it up, but neither Supcon or 1For will forever criticise NP as a smokescreen for the LJ/Ashton debacle.

I've given up Ashton, let them remember LJ and Ashton in their own way.
It's not a problem, they are entitled to their opinion......however misguided.

Spot on Supercon.........to be honest LM's tactics etc has always been there....IMO the players need to adjust from pervious or they need to be replaced... LM certainly has the ability to set up a good side....won't always be perfect with what we have....but I think we need to stick with his vision

Not true and you know it.. show me comments that I made about Nige.. Only sometimes the tactics you will see me criticise...warrented I might add..(nice try though RP..
The smokescreen is all the excuses, straight jacket, injuries, hands tied.....Bottom line, we should have been better with his experience and our defence should have been the Dogs and not just bollocks...

    Back to yesterday.

The first 25 minutes reminded me very much of our 2nd half performance at PNE when they just steamrolled us.

Are we getting better or are Plymouth just a poor Championship side.

From my memory Plymouth have never held a Championship place for very long and this season could prove to be much of the same. Our performance to beat them yesterday was also hardly world class and unless someone wakes up and smells the roses we could join them in the not too distant future because poor decisions on the managerial front keep haunting us. On a slighter more positive note take a look at the massive profit made by Brighton during the last year and it begs the question as to why not Bristol City doing the same? May I suggest more bad decisions have led us to constantly fighting against the FFP mobsters.

If our defence is so bad, why are we 4th best in the Championship for goals conceded? And dont say it’s Manning, our defence has been good for a while, it took Nige longer than I’d hoped , but he did make us good defensively, our problem was, and still is at the other end

You’ve forgotten all of the late goals we used to concede.. remember the amount of games we ended up losing or drawing in the last few minutes of games.. it became a joke by most of us watching. Classic game was against struggling Stoke at home.. Cruising 2-0 up.. only to fall apart to lose 3-2.. those were the times we were told by RR how Nige has turned us around..
We are so better organised under LM.. if you can’t see it then maybe the grieving is still an issue!!

As I said not bringing the 9 in would bite us big time on the ass.
The defence was good under Nige -just could not score enough goals.

So why is our record under LM no better than under Nige?. I’ve already said we’ve improved the last two games, he seems to have dropped his obsession with just passing for the sake of it, and has set us up perfectly against Leicester and adapted his tactics in game against Plymouth, if he continues in that manner he’s on his way to winning me around, but if you can’t see the restrictions Nige was under you are deluded, I see things for what they are and say it as I see it. Credit where its due but equally criticism where appropriate. If LM had carried on like he was a few weeks ago I’d preferred him to go. I’m still not convinced, but he’s improving.
