Technically Wrong

Once a penalty is awarded, the game is stopped at that time. Which would have been the 3rd minute and resumed with a goal in the 3rd minute
Play resumes once the penalty has been taken
If the pen is scored the time.starts again from kick off
If the pen is missed the clock starts
Immediately

The time of 7 minutes is only on the reporters / medias / fans watches

It's not on the refs watch as he has stopped his so it's not the 7th minute of play
Remember the minutes of added time are only there for the media and fans, the ref only plays 90mins as per the laws of the game

 

Do any of you guys think the 2nd west ham goal was ridiculous?

Ref looked like he was gonna stop game due to potential head injury but then a quick free kick was allowed.

Ridiculous.

 

Yeah but every player knows you play to the whistle. There was some naivety shown from our players. Also it wasn't a head injury (concussion protocol) it was a fake face injury.

 

No one, literally no one, will say that goal was scored in the 3rd minute, because it wasn't.

The ref stopping and starting his watch doesn't alter the fact that football matches are played in forward moving time, the clock doesn't stop.

Plus with injury time being decided by the officials anyway, the refs watch is all but redundant these days.

 

Nah, finger in the face, was obviously not a serious injury.

Plus our defence completely switched off, it's was our fault.

Referees are not medical experts and have to be very careful when allowing play to continue
most referees these days have negligence insurance for such occasions like this

There was **** all wrong with Schar

 

there is normally **** all wrong with all players that go down
but are you a medical expert to take that responsibility ?

Schar isn't the issue tbh, more the rest of the defence being completely inert when the quick free kick was taken.

 

He was for two of the goals though

 

Krafth was the problem for the 1st

 

can't argue with that but it's the first time I have seen a ref ignore a head injury
whether it was soft or not

I remember Miggy getting a full slap in the face and Marriner ignored him - twat

 

I'm going to stick up for him here......he seen how fake the injury was from close range. Where I will criticise him is he stood over the player as if he was about to do something and that's what fooled our players.

 

It was worse when that bald **** ref did us like that at Liverpool. Mike Dean I believe.
