Speakmans is going to have to totally change things this summer. I am willing to give him the chance to do it. But then again, his performance this season, well, he deserves the sack doesnt he?

Apologies to Blackburn for suggestion and credit to them for recognising they had no need to be careful

Phone him up and tell him you've got a kid who's five foot four and not sure whether he's a winger or a striker and you can hear his eyes rolling into the back of his head.

Like Simon Cowell when a good looking eighteen year old boy appears on X Factor.

In 35 plus years of watching Sunderland I've never seen as big a change in a player as Ekwah last season and this.

I honestly thought we had the next Viera at points last season. Genuinely thought he was the most valuable asset we had with the possible exception of Dan Neil.

He can't of gone that far backwards, can only assume he's either physically exhausted or completely mentally shot, for whatever reason.

Hope he can bring it back. Last years Ekwah was a world beater.

If you look at the latest club meeting minutes, he hasn’t learnt anything. Going on about us already having experience and the other ****e he’s spouted.

remember this is the bloke who sacked Mowbray, replaced him with Beale, then sacked Beale after 2 months .

An arrogant bloke who needs to be peddled.

Yeah made no sense at the time and makes even less sense now. Mundle seems ok, nothing special but he's young and raw and deserves time but he's certainly not the Clarke replacement so he's just going to be fighting with Ba for the backup winger role next season.

Did we need to sign both Hjelde and Styles if Styles is seen as a left back?

    Just bizarre squad building.

It's a funny old game. Without watching it all back, seems that apart from retrieving the ball from the net and receiving back passes, Patterson has never been less involved, never had fewer touches and never even saw a ball past the post let alone have a save to make

Afraid to say I think he deserves the sack, yes. You cant go through two managers like he did and survive. Then to have a period of reflection before thinking about the next head coach. Fiddling while Rome burns springs to mind. We are rapidly going from a progressive looking club who would be attractive to players, to one who is lower mid table with a muddled approach that means other clubs will be more attractive. Speakman has done some good things no doubt, but I think it is time for a fresh perspective, and maybe a more experienced head.

Doesn't matter how valid any points are when arrogant pricks try to act as gatekeepers on who's opinion can be heard.

He is a joke of an owner, its a play thing for him, our fans need a owner who will at least give us a chance, by investment in to the team not the concorse or floodlights or even a great sound system, we are a football club, not a social club.

Most money ever spent by a team within 2 years of promotion from league one.

More money than your mates ever put in.

Doesn't have the club in heavy debt like Short.

    Speakman out. KLD in.

Who thought bringing in people from Birmingham city would take us to the next level. Likes of Speakman and Dodds will be living off the success of Jude until they retire.

Lost for words with that today. So much wrong with the performance.

Starting Roberts was a big mistake, in hindsight. Why didn't he have some game time with the U21's?

The lack of depth at CM hurt us again. Neil and Ekwah were well below par but who plays there instead? No protection in front of the back four. Evans is just coming back and the conditions would make you worry about him. Blackburn harried and closed us down and we didn't have an answer again. As positive as I felt after the Cardiff game, the old problems are still there.

If KLD wants Speakman that's OK with me, looking poor atm but lets see what happens next, its football after all and its never ever been a smooth ride. Or a dull one so all we can do is keep plugging away and hopefully learn from the mistakes, all opinions are valid, for what its worth I thought we were decent against a poor Cardiff team, then Blackburn have been decent against a poor Sunderland team, so lets do better next time . Unless a mod stops you think you're free to post any opinions. It's the whining when some post an opinion they don't like that spoils the board. Disagree and argue against it, or ignore it. But no point whining because someone doesn't agree with your point of view

That really was a dreadful performance, it was my grandson's first match, but he enjoyed being there . . . . that's enough for me :emoticon-0148-yes:

I remember being beaten 5-1 a while ago, then going on to win 6 in a row, which is probably what's going to happen now . . . . roll on Saturday :emoticon-0105-wink:
