Need a draw now between city and arse but think that Arsenal will do that today Noting a lot of the ‘injured’ players are back That is cheating and too many get away with it
Don't know what they were doing in injury time, all they had to do was keep the ball but they kept trying difficult passed out shots. If we'd have conceded an equaliser, it would have been deserved. Game management ffs
i do not want that man managing lfc. every negative part of football on display. diametric opposite of klopp in every sense. I see micha Richards is distraught.
Made that a bit more nervy than it should have been, but we didn't cough up any really good chances after their goal. I don't think Kelleher had a save to make until the 80th minute, did he?
If Di Zerbi had the resources that Klopp has do you think he would as negative? He has a team of journeymen and youngsters.
Surely either var there’s going to be an adjustment to the offside rule now? It used to be that level was level because the human eye it’s very hard to work out if someone is ever so slightly ahead etc. But now with var, being a knee ahead mid run isn’t gaining an advantage and surely the time comes that someone sits down and goes back to the fundamentals of offside. Has someone gained a clear advantage by being closer to the goal than the opponent? I know it’s ’only Moving the goalposts’ but surely saying any part of your body onside is better? That then at least forces defenders to defend and not just get lucky that a forward has moved their shoulder slightly ahead of them.
It was, we were brilliant at it a couple of seasons ago. Think it shows with replaced experience with younger players that still have things to learn.
I don't dislike Coote in the way that I do Tierney or Taylor - I don't think he's got it in for us, I just don't think he's fit for purpose. I've seen him in so many games that don't involve us or our rivals where I'm just baffled at his decisions. He lets some really obvious things slide, then goes card-crazy at innocuous things.
He set the tone by booking Mac for a dive by Adingra and then that was it. Any kind of touch while a player was running became an auto yellow.
Mac very good again today. Brilliant pass for Salahs goal. Freeing him up is definitely getting the best out of him.
Yeah, but there's only really Quansah and Bradley that come into that category (Gravenberch maybe?), and it was the likes of Gomez that were most at fault for being gung-ho to the end. Diaz and Nunez* only have one way of playing anyway. Virgil should be reining them in at that point and directing the play. *Thought he was quiet today - a bit knackered maybe.
