man ended his career the second he signed for city. like drinkwater giving up playing to retire at Chelsea.
the second was the usual cheating by Gordon. threw his leg in to get kicked rather than ever playing the ball.
Everton are dire going forward, they had a break and only two of them went up, Bournemouth managed to get 7 back before Everton sent any more forward. They are where they are for a reason
crazy results all round. thry are all as bad as each other. we need 3 points v Brighton and 10 goals off sheff utd midweek. really do.
I've stayed out of the talk about who should succeed Klopp because I can't find any enthusiasm in the speculation. Seeing as De Zerbi's name has come up, I will just say that I'd rather not have a current PL manager. We looked to be after a certain 'type' when we went for Klopp. I'd like to think that we can hit the jackpot twice by going for another certain 'type'. We now know it won't be Alonso, who I think fits the bill. So I'm waiting to be pleasantly surprised, preferably with a name I've not heard much about.
Those Newcastle ones are awkward. I ca see arguement either way. Against pens - Gordon doesn’t have any control of the ball just shoved his foot infront of the west ham defender, hasn’t played the ball and could argue it’s a foul the West Ham as he’s ended up tripping and tackling them without playing the ball. For pens - He’s been quick and nipped in front and West Ham player been careless in just making contact not knowing the surroundings. I think they are harsh personally though as I think the main thing with those type of pens depend on if the player fouled has actually touched it. If Gordon had got a flick on the ball before being kicked then 100% pen. On similar note, what an awful decision in the chelsea Burnley game to not only give a pen, but then give a second yellow for an absolutely nothing tackle.
Gordon was clearly offside for the first and just put his leg in front of Phillips' attempted clearance - from behind - for the second. Neither should have been given - but what can you expect when Coote is on VAR? He hasn't a clue.
for the first i ignored the offside i say it wasn't a pen as Gordon had no interest in the ball and, as in the second , initiated contact with the defender and went down squealing ,
Brentford 31 shots and 85 touches in United box (2 short of city’s record of 87). Absolutely mental stats
I'm sure city will have paid handsomely for both results we have to make it impossible for a ref to just slightly favour Brighton in decisions to get thst result. they will have to be egregious in their cheating if we play well.
