Bowen and Ward-Prowse were the only British players he had starting yesterday. Do believe he is a negative manager though. Taking a forward off yesterday when they were 3-1 up and replacing him with a defensive midfielder was a huge mistake.
It kind of made sense in some respects but when you see who it was. Additionally as we went for goals we where exposed at the back so your right. Realistically looking at the PL table 6th is probably the best we can achieve. I think we can do that and if we do it won’t have been to bad a season.
Additionally and being positive our run in looks on paper quite nice compared to the other two teams above us.
Think 6th with the injuries we have had and the limited depth in the squad would be an amazing season.
Yes I would agree. I think it papers over cracks mind. There is a gulf between 6th and 5th this season. It’s been a tough one. If we finish 6th then that’s what I predicted at the beginning and thus would be deemed a successful season. A lot to do though.
It does make me wonder whether FFP should be flexed for teams in European competitions to deal with the extra games. Clearly they have had an effect on our injuries.
The problem we had were the freak injuries. The other injuries were then caused by over play as there were no alternatives. Just genuinely a freak scenario
Yesterday’s match was almost like a summarised version of the freak injuries. Hope the three injured players are not to bad.
Lascelles definitely is. Hopefully Miggy’s is less so and Tino will probably miss a couple of games at least
Noticed a strong narrative floating around that Newcastle were lucky to win Yesterday and I thought that was an odd take at the time. Just putting that nonsense to bed and they can cry about a pen all day long, but their 2nd goal was a ref not doing his job. Newcastle battered them.
I’ve done what Tino did many times after I broke my ankle. Proper sprained ankles hurt like hell and take about 4-6 weeks to recover from.
Oh no, not all this again. Every injury can be different, so let's just leave it to the medics to assess how long he'll be out for.
I’m a medic. Anyhoo did anyone notice who it was that Barnes danced around for the winner. I will give you all a clue. Howe wanted him.
Tino hobbled off the pitch, worked with the physio for a few minutes on the side and was walking perfectly fine around the pitch via the leazes and wasn't limping. Don't know if camera's picked this up or not.
Heads all good mate, only had a couple after the game and we didn't really have time to kick the arse out it beforehand with it being early kick off.
