Well that result keeps us in it I suppose. Beating Ipswich on Monday is a must. Just another “what if” game for us today now we know the other results, classic Saints
Whilst we have all been losing our **** over the missed opportunity of getting 3 points, worth noting that Ipswich won because of a goal keeping error and Leeds’ equaliser came about because a clearance hit the scorer on the shin and went in. Add in the Leicester defeat and it looks as if all of the top four are feeling the pressure and it might just come down to which teams get the breaks.
Depends on which Saints team turns up. Ipswich, like us, can be quite open at the back so I am confident that we will have some chances. It’s taking them which is the issue. Ipswich seem to have the knack of scoring with their first opportunity, which is something one of their fans said earlier in the season (might have been on the Saints Podcast). I am very concerned about Ipswich having scored 24 goals in the last 15 minutes of games, so if we are holding on to a 1 goal lead or all square, I could need a change of underwear. And I am expecting Moore to try and bully the back four - the man’s a beast.
Let's hope you're correct with the first 2 but way off the mark with the last. I don't mind you coming second though.
Interesting that Ipswich fans seem super confident, they were when they were 3rd, it’s not just recently, the rest, we’re all very “expecting the worse”. At this stage of the season it’s about which team holds their nerve, if all the top four teams reflect how their fans are feeling then Ipswich have got this.
