No probs ... if he stays fit, could be in for an England recall ... better player than Gordon IMHO ... also has an FA Cup winners medal, whereas Gordon came from Everton ...

Is he ****. Couldn't stand Gordon initially bit he's changed my opinion over a year.......Barnes isn't even the level below Gordon, it's another level below that.

Where's Munse? I wonder if he remembers me telling him that despite new ownership bringing 'billions and billions' his club were very unlikely to emulate the exploits of Leicester City or even Blackburn Rovers and far more likely to go back to annual mid-table obscurity sooner rather than later ...

I've probably mentioned this before but I bumped into Henry Winkler outside my workplace when I went out for lunch about 15 years back. It was just me and him and it took all of my willpower not to do this. He looked at me and could clearly tell I was wrestling with it and then when I didn't he gave me a kind of knowing nod of approval.

That's what I figured. He was in Liverpool as he was on at the Empire Theatre and apparently offered his time - for free - to take a few lessons at LIPA. He used to get lunch a couple of doors down from my workplace, everyone said he was a thoroughly decent chap so I'm kind of glad I let him be.

But also regret not doing it.
