The aliens could have captured people and brainwashed them.

Perhaps they've even infiltrated society, living quietly among us, unknown...

Aye, there is always the idea of us being nothing more than experiments in a petri dish. That's always a cool theory.

I don't buy into any video or supposed sighting/abduction about aliens. However I do believe that there are probably other life forms out there. Whether these life forms are intelligent or not, it gives the basis of intelligent life to evolve (the first life form on this planet was supposed to be bacteria from an asteroid/comet).

But at the end of the day, aliens could land tomorrow or never. But then again there could be a nuclear war tomorrow or never. The speed of light may have been broken, it may not have been.

Science is forever evolving, who knows what we will be able to find in space by 2020.

<laugh> Same here; I remember going to see it at the cinema with some friends when I was in year 7 or something and that part really freaked me out.

I do not believe in the flying saucer probe type of alien because that is just ridiculous. It probably would be possible for alien creatures to travel across the universe from other galaxies if they were much much more developed than we are because I think engineers have theoretically designed space crafts that would use anti-matter as fuel which could travel at 99% the speed of light. So if the alien beings were much more advanced than we are then theoretically it is possible that they could travel to this solar system (although they would have to live for a very long time because it takes 75 years travelling at 99% speed of light just to get to the edge of the milkyway from Earth). However if they did decided to travel from their own planet it would probably be because they needed somewhere else to live for whatever reasons so if they did travel here they would probably kill us all.

I do believe that there is other life out there though, amino acids have been found on other planets and meteors before and they are the building blocks of life. It is also just a number thing; there are at least 100,000,000,000 galaxies in the observable universe, and in the average galaxey there is at least 100,000,000,000 stars, so a conservative estimate of the amount of stars in the universe is 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars. I think there have been about 500 or so planets discovered orbiting other stars, so again being very conservative just say it is a rate of 5 in a million that a star has a planet orbiting it and just say only one planet per star. So a very conservative guess would be that there are 50,000,000,000,000,000 planets in the universe. So you could even say that it is one in a trillion chance that a planet has all the right conditions to support and create life that would still be 50,000 planets that could have life on them and that is being massively conservative and only talking about the observable universe.

Is it possible for time and space to be eternal?

If it ended what would replace it? Nothingness? Would the nothingness be eternal?

That's a hard one. Kozel or Pilsner Urquell are as good as it gets lager wise. Brown Ale is gorgeous too.

Well one day, when all the stars in the entire universe run out of fuel then effectually there will be nothing but nothingness

I think there are three main theories about how the universe will end which are that either the universe will stop expanding and start retracting and eventually collapses in on itself. Or that it just keeps expanding with everything just drifting further and further apart until all stars die out and black holes swallow evey bit of matter and then even they disappear. The last is that the expansion keeps speeding up and basically everything (stars, solar systems, galaxies, atoms, etc) will be torn apart and shredded. I think the latter is the most likely.

I think a life form or species so advanced to travel light years exploring space would stay well away from earth, they would be so advanced that they would see humans as violent and dangerous... To be capable of gaining that technology they would need to have gained a vast amount of resources, to do so they will be so well evolved, past fighting each other and wasting it on weapons, that their main focus would be to channel resources into exploration. You never know we may well be able achieve this in a few 1,000 years, when everyone stops just thinking about gaining as much resources for themselves as possible!

I'm feeling a bit off colour, I don't think I'll be around in a few thousand years time to witness this marvellous achievement.
