They're not undroppable. Zaroury has been dropped, and Carvalho has been well worth his place. People moan that he's not the second coming but he's been our best attacking player in 2024.

These arguments get so bogged down in tangents and nonsense. The question was about attracting coveted players. We couldn't do that previously despite paying big money. Yes, we lost out to parachute clubs. Now, we are able to get coveted players ahead of parachute clubs. I don't see how this even needs to be a back and forth, it's absolutely black and white.

Norwich's next two games are against Leicester and Ipswich, they could easily lose both of those and their play-off chances will be dented.

It would be interesting what route we’d go down should we make the change. Because realistically, you’re either hiring a top gaffer in league 1, which no one would be happy with, even if they were very highly rated in the game. Or we go abroad where no one would be happy as they don’t “know the league”.

Would be really interesting what route we’d go down. I think they’d have the ambition for someone like Potter, he also has a fairly local connection too. Whilst it’s the same style in theory, the execution of coaching is much better executed.

We still have Leeds and Ipswich to play. If you think Norwich can still miss the play offs in favour of us then that even further underlines why people are going a bit early on wanting LR out.

Cooper I think is the only one that a lot would be happy with.

I agree. And while I was one who said earlier that I don’t think Rosenior can take us any further, it doesn’t mean I think he should be sacked. However, my belief in him has unfortunately changed. I had hoped he would adapt the system and allow the players to be braver/more attacking. This doesn’t seem to have happened. Does he deserve another go next season? I would say yes. But I have a feeling his time won’t last long. Up to him to prove me wrong.

It will be better when Acun comes out and tells everyone LR will still be here next season they are happy with the progress and think he will have learned alot from this season to carry on and lead the club to the play offs/ promotion next season.

That's basically one of the things I've been banging on about, and told by several I was wrong. Hmmn. I was told we brought Ohio in because that's all we could afford. That's of course bolloxs, as it was all about how he chose to use the places and money he had available.
I recently listened to the 1904 podcast with the chief scout. He said Rosenior phoned him and asked "we can get Carvahlo, should we sign him", to which he replied "yes, of course". Maybe there was more to the question and answer, but if that was all it was, which he was framing it as if it was, then it was utterly stupid from both of them. The response should have included "not if it means we are not able to bring in the striker we now need". Or maybe they both thought Sharp, Ohio and Connolly were the answer. Smacks of a kid in a sweetie shop. Major **** ups that's now cost us this season when we had a chance of at least play offs.

I assume the 'he' is Rosenior, and I'd suggest Rosenior isn't the only one deciding which players come in.

He didn't say Rosenior phoned him, it was Darnborough. Understandable confusion as he said Lee - which can sound like Liam.

I don't think they'll make a change for at least another year. But one thing that's often forgotten is LR being very good at developing players and from a financial perspective it's massive for the club.

There were fans on here saying that we should've taken Boro's offer for Greaves as we probably won't get any better. Fast forward a year and he's a £20m player, Philogene had a lively pre-season with Villa but that doesn't mean a lot and his season's in the championship were hit and miss but he's going to go for chunk too especially as he's looked so good for England u21s in very good company.

We need money to compete and the best way of doing it is by developing players.

I think on balance Acun will trust Liam into next season but I would like to think he'll be having some serious conversations with him and assessing his ability to learn and change. I am beginning to find Liam's arrogance quite hard to take. Whenever it's put to him that the fans are frustrated with the lack of not just goals but creation of proper chances at home all season, his attitude seems to be along the lines of 'what the fans need to understand is...' And as a serious businessman, you couldn't blame Acun if he's beginning to think ' I've invested for you last summer and again in January, I've got crowds up to capacity, I've provided you with a warm weather break, and you can't currently coach the team to even deliver a meaningful set piece?'

What the fans do understand is...
    At home this year:
    Played 8
    Won 1
    Drawn 4
    Lost 3
    Goals for 7
    Goals against 10
And yet the stadium is still full,
    but for how long?

That game was not worth a 4 hour round trip. Understatement I know.
Do Allsop & Seri have it in their contacts that they have to touch the ball at least once every 5 minutes?
I thought Slater was the best player on the pitch, the only one to run at them, actually look interested in getting a result, & he was takes off, Seri left on!
I think that the players we have are talented, no doubt about it, but Stoke showed yesterday that you need players who stop them. When we signed a player like Carvalho, yes, he’s good, but not what we needed.
It’s alright signing players cheap & selling high, maybe that’s the initial idea to be able to get promoted by signing players who don’t fall over every minute. With this bunch, we don’t have any fight in the team.
There’s just not enough different types of player, they’re all just lightweight.
I don’t know if they’ve played together this season, but Slater & Morton would be something to try, instead of Seri all the time.
I’m not singling out Seri, his performance yesterday was nothing special either way, it’s just, IMO, it’s not working with him in there.
The thing I did like was Carvalho, Philo, Ohio all tackling back, but then they’re all too deep & when we get the ball back, we’re too slow getting it to them, because it has to go back to Allsop.:emoticon-0121-angry
