Arabs, Jews and Christians were living there in relative peace before Israel's expansionist agenda too mate.
I think Zionism is a problem, because in practice it's been used as a form of Colonialism. I also don't think State and Religion should mix, but that's a personal opinion of mine. That doesn't make anybody an antisemite, but I can see where there are those who use it as a such. I'm not equating it to the Holocaust, but I am drawing parallels with the persecution that Jews have endured down the years, now being metted out by the Israeli govt who fly the flag for Zionism. If you can't see the irony there, then I would also say that you are too far gone.
History shows us that during and after the Ottoman empire, Jews, Arabs and Christians lived together, worshiped together and ran businesses together in the same communities in Palestine.
The whole region has seen conflict over the centuries, but prior to the Balfour agreement that carved Palestine up, the people who were living there, were living in peace with each other. Anyway, neither you or me are going to settle this. All you need to be concerned about is whether Havertz scores another 3 goals this season.
International law states that Palestinian territory is as defined by the 1967 borders. Israel has illegally occupied Palestinian territory for at least 57 years. Israel has subjugated and dehumanised the Palestinian population in those occupied territories for at least 76 years. There is a viable solution. It's not hard. IF an Israeli state can be created and imposed despite the troubles everyone knew it would cause...then so can a Palestinian state. It's just piss poor excuses not to do so. Until this happens we will continue to see the violence we are seeing. The rest is all deflection. "Oh why won't they let us rule over them, why won't they let us steal their land, take their agriculture and industry, build our settlements, bulldoze their homes, incarcerate their children for years without charge... they must be antisemitic." Deflection.
Quite a lot of vowing to kill the Jews if they aren’t. Neither side is arsed about international law. They voted in, some time ago, a proscribed terror organisation who just orchestrated an attack killing and kidnapping over 1000 people so meh.
More deflection. Israel isn't interested in international law. There are 6 million Palestinians mate. The Palestinian Authority went to the U.N. for the state of Palestine to be recognised, so clearly the Palestinians are interested in international law. Most countries did recognise them. Among the few who didn't were the U.S. and the U.K. So that's your answer to who isn't interested. Gazans voted 18 years ago mate. You want to punish them all for that? Oh and the choice - Hamas or Fatah whilst still being illegally occupied by Israel with their restrictions. Great choice. Now look at who Israelis have been voting for consistently for the past decade or so. A far right bunch of fascist scum, no different in ideology to Hamas. What was the Israeli choice by comparsion? About a hundred parties from left to centre to right yet they voted for lunatics like Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir. Repeatedly, not once, and not 18 years ago. By your Gaza logic that makes Israeli civilians fair game for any attrocities committed against them. Maybe Oct 7th, they were all asking for it? FFS.
You’re wasting your time trying to convince me there’s any equivalence between Netanyahu and Hamas or Israelis and those Jew-hating animals. You can if you want.
I'm not trying to convince you mate. I'm just highlighting how wrong and often hypocritical you are. The world is a changing bro, and ppl can see for themselves what's happening and make up their own minds. And they are. And it will affect change.
This one simple tenet seems to be (deliberately and consistently) overlooked Israel are an illegally occupying force, who have flouted international law and are right this minute committing war crimes Palestinians, under international law, also have the right to armed resistance.
Under the watchful eye of first the Ottomans and then us, to be fair. Palestinians weren't allowed to piss without a permit under the Ottomans.
I thought the golden era of peace and prosperity was under the Ottomans? Pretty sure they also had the best kebabs. Lawrence of Arabia, he’s your problem. Good movie though tbf.
Wrong, that's the Rusholme Chippy on the curry mile Manchester. Best time for Christians, Muslims and Jews in Palestine was under Salah Uddin. Not so great for the English. Although he did his best work after moving to Liverpool.
Maybe somebody needs to take Bibi to some Turkish baths where he can be manhandled and slapped around by some giant Turkish brute Might be the only way to keep the peace
But who on the UN security council has the guts to suggest anal sex is the answer That's the question here
