He seems to think our problems require deep levels of analysis, which is worrying considering we’ve been like this all season.

I think part of the issue is our recruitment, getting too many of the same mid. You can understand it due to our injury issues, but in hindsight it's pushed Tufan to the bench and Jaden out of position when that budget could have been used on a striker instead. Hard to turn down the chance to sign Fabio but we probably should have..

You're more qualified than I am to talk on that both in terms of playing experience and your qualifications but it's something I can relate to from my time in RL. Players don't need micro managing. The best coaches build a squad of players that do something well and that skill set fits as part of a bigger picture.

Our squad is a mess. We have too many players that play similar roles and are still, despite his months in the job, are missing key personnel.

Also pushed Adama completely out of the picture. It was already by far the strongest position in the squad.

We should’ve signed Ömür or Carvalho but not both. Ömür, Tufan and Traoré was more than enough for the remainder of this season in that position.

My mate who isn’t a City fan but has watched us quite a bit this season both at the ground and on TV has said we’re a good ‘FIFA team’ in the sense that we have a lot of players with high ratings on FIFA but in real life we are extremely unbalanced.

    Absolute joke today.

Brought on loads of attackers, left 2/3 at the back and still played it out from the back even though all the players were at the top end of the pitch. Made absolutely no sense and I was bored sh*tless.

I agree with them on a few things, not their inability to criticise because they think we should enjoy what we currently are being served up with because of our league position.

Be interesting where we prioritise in summer. More than happy to stay down this season as would be way too early going up.

Greaves will be gone. He’s shown how comfortably ahead he is of our other 2 centre halves today. £20m will hopefully come in for him.

Right winger, left back, centre back and a dynamic central midfielder. Hopefully Delap is available on a decent deal too. Then we’ll be looking good.

I have consistently been told to just enjoy it.

I have been told consistently we are playing brilliant football.

I am consistently told that Rosenior is the best man to take the club forward.

Chucking on a **** load of strikers was very much a Bruce-ism. Never worked for him either.

Yeah we'll need a few strikers so wouldn't mind Stansfield as well.

Would hope Ali Al Hamadi would go out on loan in the now likely case Ipswich go up. I know we should stray from loans but he’s the real deal.

You said that people were saying ‘we should like what we are being served up’

Most (if not all) have been disappointed with the last few performances (Leicester aside?).

Its tongue in cheek. Certain group seemed to have every excuse under the Sun ready for any bad performance, then after a good one it was a gotcha moment as if that’s the standard we are used to this season.

I don't think it is a genuine question, I think it's your usual thing of just wanting to twist the knife on Rosenior whenever possible and whatever I say you'll pretty much ignore it and just patronise him with the inexperience stuff and the '7-10 years from now' routine.

The simple answer though is that he's improved us in other areas. He sorted out our defence when that was the priority, this season he's got us dominating games like we couldn't do before, pressing high and he has got them very good at the playing out from the back. Much as people will want to scoff at that, we are good at it. He's massively improved our fitness and robustness as he said he would. So he's improved us in multiple areas in the order he set out to. Creating more chances without relying on Delap you would think would be the next one. No reason to believe we won't get there. It might take a bit of time, that's reality. It took Brighton and Brentford several years. Teams do improve over time when a manager is given time and resources and the club follows a clear blueprint. We've been an example of that and there's no reason to think we'll stop now.

I’m not sure he has improved our defence.

We’ve conceded 48 this season 13 less than last season altogether. Could easily still surpass that.

We’ve scored more yes but we’ve also had much better attackers all season so as we should.

We are good at keeping the ball, we aren’t good at breaking teams down. We don’t have an answer if teams don’t press us and break their shape. If teams are disciplined, we don’t have an answer if it isn’t a player scoring a screamer or producing a bit of magic.m

I’m not sure I can hand on heart say the increase in goals is down to how we play over merely better players being in the building.

At the end of last season we looked really fluid attacking without a striker, but we had Traore fully firing who I still believe is the only player in the building with that final third ability to break a side down (hoping Omur has it too but yet to see him in his natural 10 role)
