I thought, from the start, he's a very determined character who's come here to progress his career and step up. All he needs is a run in the team and he'll be a real star ... ... what we need is a manager with courage to keep playing him no matter what the results may be.
Hes not exactly small either physically is he. I think he'll become a really good player for us. I have more hope for him than i do Ba, who always flatters to deceive for me. He gets in some great positions but has zero end product, as we saw against Boro to name 1 of many sitters he's missed.
Ba has some great technical ability but the end product and decision making needs a lot of work. That shot he took at the near post when he should have squared it was a prime example.
Long day travelling, having spent the morning with a dodgy roofer over an invoice. that piece of ****e aside, landed in the moontains and looking forward to a week off. What better way to start off the weeks hols with an emphatic performance and 3 points - knew we’d win. just got to repeat that level on Monday. Happy Easter folks
How did he even expect to beat the keeper from that position. Despite a decent amount of games for us he's still very very raw and clueless in what he's actually doing. Ability wise hes Championship level, decision making and end product wise hes lower league 1 level and im hoping he'll be loaned out next season instead of confusingly making his way into our starting 11 every week.
Is that right, puts to bed the idea he's incompetent at CB and people only like him because he's a nice lad. Don't think he was at his best for the first third of the season or so but he seems to get better every game as you say.
It was a strange decision to go near post, it very rarely comes off tbh. Definitely needs to get his head up and just play the easy pass. I do think there is a good player there but he needs to understand 'less is more' imo.
I agree mate, his ability is obviously whats made his career get to this level but his decision making and finishing is absolutely abysmal
Know some good lads who’ve been down there today and spent a fortune overall. Delighted for those. Genuinely.
Yep i was a little surprised he was as a high as that - but hes proven hes a championship calibre CB Some folk went ott at the start when he made a couple mistakes but even they dont slag him anymore - shows hes won loads over
Been a few times this season when he could have squared it or whatever and he has his head down wanting another step over. That's what the coaches should be saying to him.
He def frustrates, as shows signs of really quality then other times looks like hes never played before Hes def kicked on from last season n hopefully he kicks on again nxt yr and improves end product I love his workrate n the fact he does get into goal scoring positions, hes always a goal threat (just ashame his finishing van be shocking)
Yep he seems the type that just wants to keep learning n improving I also think sticking to 1 position is really helping him now
I don't disagree at all mate, it's just all the good (harder) stuff he does, then he seems to fluff the easier stuff. If he puts it all together we've got an absolute baller. He needs to get in a Octagon with Ballard as well.
About Ba. It must be awful to be a defender going to tackle him. Not only does the defender not know what Ba is going to do, Ba himself also appears not to know what he will do.
Definitely something here. And that is the main problem imo. Talented as **** but needs to learn how to use it
I think he's a bit immature mentally and it'll take him longer than some for everything to click into place. He's got the talent and physical attributes and has shown some good decision making at times, he'll just be a slightly late bloomer compared to Adil say who is the same age but considerably more mature. Ba at 28 will be a quality player imo.
