The number of people on Universal Credit with no requirements to work has risen to 2.3m in 2024 and most of them are fake sickness. Universal Credit did not exist in 2010 but the number of people on “out of work benefits” has risen to 5.9m, nearly a million more than it was in 2010; and since then the number on disability has fallen by almost a million, so in reality it is up two million. At the beginning of 2024 there were a million job vacancies in the economy as a whole. That number is falling because of contraction in the private sector. I never mentioned the unfilled vacancies in the Communist Health Service where they seem to have little difficulty filling £150k D.I.E. manager vacancies. A smart person would have owned shares in the water companies and profited from the dividends. If you were smart enough to have a pension fund, you would probably find that it owns a chunk of shares in various utilities with their guaranteed profits.
