There was quite an interesting stat about his experience as a coach before this. I think he’s well below the median especially at the top end. Even Sheff Wednesdays coach has more experience in first team set ups.
Neither centre backs were good enough today , never look up , play the ball so slowly I’ve gotta say one of them even looked down at the ball to play a poor pass and two of us said wtf !! It looked so amateur . Missed Greaves massively started with a semi negative team with a weak midfield . Stoke stole the intiative for the first twenty and that set the tone for us .
sheff wed manager was an assistant at bayern and german national team etc he's performing miracles apparently giving this sheff wed team a chance of survival we actually have less points than sheff wed over last 20 games then you look at norwich manager, vast experience etc
I thought Stoke looked more dangerous than us today. I also believe they deserved the win. Very poor performance.
Flat performance but let’s be honest, the style of play has delivered boring performances all season particularly when at home. Rosie has no plan B. His subs are usually late and he simply plays the subs in the same positions as the players leaving the field. There’s never any tactical change. Rosie still talking about getting Ohio, Sharp and Connolly up to speed. Maybe their game is about finding space and putting the ball in the net rather than expending all energy chasing defenders down hoping they make a mistake.
That was really poor. Rosie has nowhere to hide, but at the same time the players need to take some flack for that performance too. Where’s the Jaden we saw in the autumn gone? The one who took on players regularly? Too often he drifts back. Allsopp kept punting it long and we lost it almost every time. We needed to be a lot smarter with our decision making to beat Stoke’s physicality. Slater didn’t do enough today, but you could say that about all of them. Really disappointing.
When the season ends I genuinely think Acun will sit down with his merry men and come to the conclusion that LR is not getting the team performing and silencing the crowd with a boring style of football ( remember the noise made at Turkish matches) and decide to let LR go. It’s not just the position we will end up in it’s the lack of excitement and match day experience. Acun had taken the club forward in so many ways where LR has not.
remember all that ****e about "educating fans on the way we play" Hopefully he's now been educated on how **** his system is. We didn't just bottle it today, we bottled it every game since Westbrom. Even against Leicester, we go a goal ahead twice and miss a pen... I listened to him on Radio Humberside talk about "box entries and crosses" it takes us an age to decide to cross, against 2 massive Stoke centre-backs and we need to take 5 touches in the box before we think about having a shot, it's an utterly daft thing to bring up. It's clear he doesn't have a clue how to solve the issues.
I think those discussions will be happening already, I've been critical of LR for a while now as I just couldn't see him taking us to the next step, but to counter your last line....he's definitely taken us forward from where we were when he took over. I just think we've gone as far as we can under him and it's time to move on and bring someone in who can now take us to the next step
If the jaunt to Turkey was supposed to gell the team together, 'bonding' was the buzz word and come back refreshed and rivitalised to 'play nine cup finals' Then something went wrong because that was as flat as a performance as any we've seen all season. They actually looked like they'd all played a game this morning and one late last night. Totally, totally predictable too, typical City, and we offered nothing. Stoke were the better team, wanted it more and had more idea. We had none. How on earth Acun and Rosy expect the home crowd to raise the roof and make the stadium an intimidating place to come for they away team when they play at such a tepid pace with no urgency or bite what so ever is beyond me. Its like expecting a raucaous atmosphere at a game of chess. I don't sound off very often but tonight they deserve it because that was garbage and I'm sick of hearing the same old excuses. ...
This forum is strange so many posters you only see comment when we are s*** ,like today but they rarely post the rest of the time , and especially if we are good . As much as I think we were crap you gotta be more even handed than that fellas. .
I think Brady2 make a really relevant point above.. Stoke's manager today has two promotions on his CV, Farke, been there done that, Wagner, been there done that, Kieran McKenna a promotion, Robbins has tonnes of experience and for those who think it's impossible to sack LR, Acun bought a club Shelbourne and when it wasn't working for him wrote it off.
If you are referring to my post then you are wrong. Tonight is the first time I've questioned the tactics and attitude all season and I did so because todays offering deserved it.
Rosenior is in his 6th season of coaching senior level. For context the likes of Danny Rohl at Wednesday, have double. The likes of Russell Martin are coaches with similar levels of years in the game as Rosenior and are also struggling with experience
That was absolutely abysmal. I have no idea what that was meant to be but it certainly wasn't the performance of a play off chasing team. No efforts on target for the entire game against the worst team Stoke have had for years - left me wishing I had remained at home and painted the skirting boards, as watching them dry would have been more entertaining. Play offs? No chance. I said all along we will finish 10th and I will stick by that. Undoubtedly this is a season of progress, but we have not progressed enough to be in the play off picture come the end of the season.
Just watched the replay... Now that is Sunday league goalkeeping at its finest! Get Pandur in for the rest of the season.
