Funny that his best performance for quite some time comes after a fortnight off, mind. The potential is massive but someone is managing his development very poorly, if you ask me.
Its no coincidence Jobe has put in a hell of a performance after a rest. The amount of work load weve put on him this season has been too much for an 18 year old, starting 99% of every game we play.
A few games ago Jobe was dropped and on the bench. When he came on from the bench he played a blinder. Today, after a couple of weeks without a game he also played a blinder. On here we’ve often said he should be rested. Playing every game was having an effect on him. Would it be a good move to play him one game then use him off the bench on the next game. Every other game he gets a bit of a rest if we alternate him between starting and being a sub.
13 points and the sides in 7th, 8th and 9th all have a game in hand. There’s no chance we can make the play-offs.
That was a greatly improved performance, which has made the vast majority of us happy again, and it shows to me how much we've missed Onions, who was outstanding again, for the last two games . . . . well done, lads
Glad you pointed this out cos I was clearly deadly serious and I’d have hated to have been caught out paying in vain…
A Sunderland win and your first thought is to have a pop at the club ... ... anything positive to say about our away win against an in form side?
A bit of daft humour isn't what some people want mate ... ... Sunderland winning has limited their range of things to moan about. My thoughts are with them.
I’m actually looking forward to watching it unfold from afar for once haha, got a proper love hate relationship with the play offs
Been of the golf course this afternoon at a work outing (which I won), to this result. Sounds like we played well. Well done lads, and to all those fans, enjoy your beers on the way home. Bart
