Sad Café were Manc proteges of 10cc and I worked briefly with their original bass player John Simpson a decade or so ago who had given up music in the early 80's and became a Business Consultant. Lovely chap - who sadly died in 2021.

It was a pleasant surprise to buy 2 proper sized drinks and get change for a tenner in a London theatre!! It was absolutely brilliant! Also, a great opportunity to walk down by the river and see the city, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London lit up.
