I cant work out BBC sounds enough to post the link. They were on last weekend though. Blessing by Alchemy is the song and it is on Spotify etc if you want a listen. 4 out of 10 for me Ths BBC show was a breaking new artists type of thing. Apparently it got lots of positive stuff on their socials (probably his Mum ) and some positive feedback on air. BBC been in touch this week to say they are adding it to playlists for daytime mainstream shows. Just local midlands stations, but a start I suppose. Also some promoter has been in touch, not to sign them or anything grand, but to say he wants to here more from them. They have 9 tracks but like most kids are short on time and money. I have offered to pay but they are determined to do it themselves. Had a studio day on Wednesday and recorded 3 new tracks, which now need mixing and mastering. Last night invited to support a band at a decent sized venue in Liverpool - which is first time out of the region. So you cant knock them for a lack of effort and commitment. Brutal old game though and money making looks very difficult. I have told him I will fund 1 year after college to have a real crack it, no need to get a job if he is all in on this. Kids deserve to dream. Lets see, mind you if he smashes his guitar on stage he is on his own
Wish I could give you 2 likes for that mate. Wishing them the best of luck, keep us updated on their progress.
I only caught it briefly on the news but apparently there's Zulus in it as well ... ... so there might be a guest appearance from Michael Caine
POV: You’re a tall White guy with combat experience sitting on a bus, a meek looking black man is sitting across from you. You start rapping.
Went to a concert the neet. Bloke in an Everton shirt came up to me in a pub beforehand, "Do I know you ? Are you an Everton supporter"? "Nah mate, I'm Sunderland, and thats the biggest insult I've had for a while "
Cheers Saff, much appreciated. I am fine, I took a break from contributing, but still read the board. I stopped engaging because I was turning into someone I didn’t want to be, arguing with people who have every right to hold their opinions. I just couldn’t stay away from the music thread for that long I don’t dislike you Saff, I have never met you. I find some of your comments very caring and educational, but others, well you can probably guess at the ones I don’t Take care and look after yourself.
Don't think anyone has posted this recently and thought I would with Tom Lynn passing. I'm sure he had a hand in it
