I hated the film but thought the series was very watchable. Some absolutely hilarious moments peppered throughout. Think the first couple of episodes were its best and it faded off a bit.
I'm two episodes iinto 3 Body Problem on Netflix, can't decide yet if it's genius or ****e. Probably the former so I'll keep going to the end.
Thought it was good myself. I think the film was alright at best,.this is much better! For me it is more like Lock Stock and Snatch than the Gentleman!
Charlie Hunham is an English actor who can't do a convincing English accent. I find that absolutely bewildering. Then it's just white man good. Yellow man bad. Weird journalist. Cringey Guy Ritchie fantasy of eating scotch eggs and wearing Tweed live through Matthew Mcconoughey in what I assume is Guy Ritchie's pub. Hated it. Shocked David Beckham didn't show up as a rent boy to suck an extra (Guy Ritchie) off in the pub toilets. Cannot believe the person who made Lock Stock, Snatch, and Rock 'n' Rolla was bottomed out so badly.
I watched the trailer for that and couldn't decide if I liked it or not. Is it quite heavy on the highbrow science or is it more about the murder mystery aspect and therefore suitable for stupid people like myself?
It's pretty heavy going, certainly something you need to concentrate on while watching. Looks like it might move more towards the mystery/ conspiracy aspect in the next episode. The production values are incredible , must have cost a good amount to put together.
I didn't dislike it as much as you, thought it was OK worth a watch nearly. Charlie Hunham is ****e in most stuff I've seen him in after sons of anarchy! Not a patch on the three you mention but most of Guy Ritchies stuff isn't a patch on them rock n rolla was peak for me!
I tried to watch it and thought it was really poor. The highbrow science from the books isn't so highbrow as it is dumbed down to the point where no one of any level of intelligence can understand it at all
I'm not sure it's for me although I'll give it a go, not exactly swamped with quality tv at the moment. If nothing else it's a feast for the eyes, amazing visuals in the trailer.
Technically it was white man good/Jewish man bad. Personally I thought it was excellent - Hugh Grant's character is supposed to be cringeworthy and creepy. Colin Farrell was a scream and the story well written. Each to their own I guess
Been watching the drain the ocean series on Disney plus. Its been fascinating the technology that has gone into it. Then ww2 episodes have been a real eye opener
